Yea anyways, I really think the TOSF guys are very good at marvel to be honest. I just really think that gerjay would be able to beat them all. Also Tao when you mentioned that we play all the time that wasn’t exactly correct. Gerjay has hardly played since he went to uni and bry mainly plays 3rd strike now. As for me and the rest of sauga that aren’t considered to be very good, we don’t play very much either. We use to have 1 casual a week at our friends house but that hasn’t happend in months. I just don’t want anyone to be under the impression that we play 8 hours a day and then get smacked out by TOSF.
I’m not sure how often JS and g3nn play, but judging how much marvin has improved and the fact that g3nn is training him, I would think that at least g3nn plays a lot. I’m not sure about JS though. I just assume he plays at orbit pretty often. But yea since half of us are in college/uni now, and I work full time, we really don’t play marvel half as much as we use to. However, what you said about the crazy amount of time we play marvel might have been accurate back at T6 for the most part =P.
PS: I’m gonna beat you in an arm wrestle next time you come down here (hopefully T7)… maybe… probably not…

The only time I play marvel is at tournies and at funland against the truly skillful competition there. And g3nn sometimes…

The only times I play Marvel:
- with Gerjay at funland twice a month and the sticks are usually broken to pieces
- random Saturday nights at Orbit if I happen to be in TO
- random EMTC touneys (because EMTC is actually closer to me than Orbit)
- the few days before a significant tourney IF school’s out and work/biz arent a mess

I remember when g3nn was getting good at marvel him and JS would play dollar matches back and forth constantly. Infact I remember g3nn saying something that eric owed him a lot of money from those matches. I dont keep track of peoples playing habits cause i really dont care, but obviously they play the game. Roger wasn’t on the 5on5 for some strange reason. . . but he plays with sauga people a lot. I see ROC bust out new shit almost everytime i see him play, so to say he doesnt practice is a bold statement.

Its pretty sad that your players win an event for the first time in like . . … 3 years? and then after its all over you run to your computers and brag about it. I couldnt careless about losing the 5on5, I dont think anyone really cared because it was for fun.
I would have cared if I was on it. Since I wasn’t even on the team though its not that huge of a deal to me. Clearly I would want sauga to win and I’m a little disapointed about losing but its not the end of the world. However if we lose the next 5 on 5 (especially if its on american sticks) I would be pretty disapointed.

Whats a T7?
I’d like to make a note that I’m psychic. While walking into work today I was thinking about this thread and T7. More specifically I thought to myself “I’d bet money that Stephen will ban Matt from joining any tournaments just because he can.”
That being said, I wouldn’t personally advocate anyone being banned from a tournament without true just cause (re Matt sneaking alcohol into T6 and risking the entire place being shut down if security caught him). However, it’s not my tournament so I’ll take a step back on this one.
Tao vs Bryan didn’t happen because of odd circumstances. Bryan and I (considering I was going to bankroll him on the bet) wanted to make the bet ASAP. Bryan came to ORBIT on the thursday and beat Tao I think 3 - 1 using Combofiend. Tao said he hadn’t made an adjustment to the ORBIT sticks (take from that what you will) and asked for the bet to be on the Sunday after the tournament. Unfortunately the tournament didn’t finish until just before 1:00am and by that time Bryan had gone back home and everyone was just exhausted so it never happened. So Tao didn’t really duck Bryan so much as put off the inevitable. :arazz:
