Michael Caine Re-Teams with Christopher Nolan in “Inception” 04-08-2009 (09:30:32)
It was already announced that Cillian Murphy will re-team with his “Batman Begins” director Christopher Nolan on the upcoming “Inception” film. And now Michael Caine may also be joining cast, in his fourth Nolan film afer “Batman Begins,” “The Prestige” and “The Dark Knight.”

“I think there might be a part for me,” Caine told MTV News. “I don’t think [Nolan]'s going to make a picture without me.” But he’s not 100% sure if it is a guaranteed role. “I will know this week if I’m going to be in it,” he added.

The plot of the new movie is being kept a secret, having only been described as “a contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind.” Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page and Marion Cotillard are also in the cast.

James Franco was also reportedly in talks to appear in the film, which is currently slated for a 2010 release, but parted ways due to scheduling conflicts with his Universal comedy “Your Highness.”

Caine is a good actor, so this is good news.

I’m gonna have to see this movie. I’ve liked all of Nolan’s recent films so far.

I’d read somewhere that this is Nolan’s version of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, a film I enjoyed very much and it’s on my Top 5 films list. :woot:

Cool to see him still getting work in Hollywood, though he hasn’t topped his role in The Last Samurai. I like most of Nolan’s work, but all of his movies tend to have great casting.

Michael Caine is a great actor. I dont think Ive ever hated his acting, or any movie he’s been in for that matter

I haven’t been following this. I thought it was a small side-project like The Prestige, but it sounds like WB’s main summer blockbuster for 2010. Should do big numbers as a TDK follow-up starring DiCaprio.

Saw the trailer last night before Sherlocke Holmes. I don’t think i’ve ever seen a trailer and been as completely clueless as to what the movie was about afterwards in my life.

Well Chris Nolan is a talented director, it’s a got two of my favorite actors in it, (Caine and DiCaprio) and also seems to have a very interesting concept. I’ll be checking this one out for sure.

Anyone else get a Terminator vibe from that humming, low pitched sound at the very end of the trailer?

Just watched the trailer for this. It looks incredible!

First off, Elen Paige and LeoDi are going to be awesome together, I think. The movie looks like it will be almost more about a mental occurrence than a physical one, as it speaks of in the trailer.

Seriously HAVE to see this opening night!
