ChipDamage presents: TST 6 - Winnipeg, MB - August 13-14th [AE, MvC3, MK9, BBCS2, Melee]

*Poster by ***YAYZE **of YAYZE.TV

It’s that time again. Winnipeg’s biggest annual fighting game tournament is back with That Summer Tournament 6. We’ve got the big games, smaller games, older games, and mystery games. Lots of stations, come one come all.

There is a bit of stuff still TBD, but we’ll keep you up to date with what’s going on, using BIG BOLD LETTERS.

**Venue - Room 543-544 on the 5th floor at the University of Manitoba’s University Centre **
**Parking: U of M has ample FREE parking near the tournament location. Check back soon for more information. **

If you can’t find the room, I will be posting a video with directions to the venue hopefully a week prior to the event.

Registration Fee: 5$

Yes, there is a registration fee this year. It’s necessary to cover the costs of the venue rental. However, if you don’t wish to enter tournaments, site entrance is still free and gets you access to casual play, exhibitions, and/or money matches.

Registration usually begins 1 or 2 hours before each tournament, so get there early and warm up some too.

If you wish to enter any tournament, you pay for the tournament entry fees on top of the 5 dollars.

Games will be Playstation 3 version.

Rules: Standard EVO rule set. This includes banned wireless controllers unfortunately.

This is largely a BRING YOUR OWN STICKS/CONTROLLER event but.
The console equipment will be labeled and registered to ensure its safety. However, please be careful with your sticks. Furthermore, if you know you’re attending and you do not have a stick to use, make sure you have a friend who can donate.

For pad/PS2 stick players, we tend to have PS2 pads and/or converters around, but don’t take this as confirmation of us having them there for you. Bring your own to be safe as opposed to sorry.

Let’s have a big turn out and see what everyone can bring to the table.

Saskatchewan usually has a presence at this tourney too, so if you want to see what they can do too without the horror of actually going to Saskatchewan, this is your ticket ;).

Yes, we’re aware that it’s close to EVO but unfortunately it can’t be helped. You should come make back some of the money spent in Vegas and abound anyway.

Brought to you by the wonderful folks (like me) at ChipDamage(.com!) Make sure to check back regularly for updates, or follow our Twitter account @ChipDamage to stay in the loop. We hope to see you there!

Also note that it took all of my willpower to not call this tournament thread “Bringing Sixy Back: That Summer Tournament 6 (TST6)”.

Also, please note that BLAZBLUE and MK9 have switched dates to accomodate more out of towners. Blazblue will now run on Saturday, and MK9 will run on Sunday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Mods please sticky

Good Luck with this

This is going to be sweet. I don’t have a 2 vs 2 team mate yet. Trying to convince Rick to come down from Sask. We were supposed to team up last year, but a friend of mine had leave from the military and I only see him once a year if that.

I’m still gonna rock the Red Cyclone!

Is there anything players with 360 sticks can do to make them work on the ps3? All I have is a 360 stick and i would like to compete.

i’m coming this year, and i’m coming for jimkims head.

Bring it you stubble jumper :nunchuck: Hehe j/k

I’ll get back to you within a day or so on this, most of the guys aren’t back from Vegas just yet. I’ll find out for ya though.

If you can’t get a dual mod in time for TST, you’ll likealy be able to borrow someone’s stick at the event. It may not be the same one everytime but we’ll try to make it work for ya. Making a friend there helps make that easier

Sound good?

I would say the best thing to do it to try and make a friend when you show up and ask if you can borrow their stick for your matches. Most people at our events are pretty cool with lending their things out so long as you’re not overly rough with their equipment.

Updated first and second post.
