Most people that post comments on Youtube are complete scrubs and suck so bad they don’t leave their house. Most of them suck so much that they talk shit about top players because their knowledge of the game is so little that they can’t even comprehend what goes on in the matches.
The whole community isn’t like the few that try to force themselves to get noticed. The better players are actually more quiet, as far as 3S goes.
Well then I’m set and ready. Gonna’ try and practice on this darn awful Xbox 360 gamepad where trying to do a QCF ends up sending the guy straight up in the air for some reason… 'till then.
Yo Phocus, if you start getting beat bad message me on aim and I’ll try to help if your friend won’t mind haha.
PenGs, arcades use joysticks. From my experience, the more I play on console, the more trouble I have getting used to a joystick. Therefore, practicing on console isn’t practicing for the arcade unless you buy a stick.
For home if you get one you can actually with an adapter use ps2 controllers but I never see anyone do this for arcades.
For most people it’s cheaper to just have the ps2, although I prefer arcade over places like web2zone anyday, or I would just buy the consoles for myself and invite people over.
I live in middle of like nowhere as far as Marvel goes so there’s no point of me getting consoles.
It’s one rather expensive taste in gaming then. 3S is 50 cents? So then what exactly is the proper arcade “etiquette” in these terms? Just go full out once you are up until you are out of money or go a few rounds, take a break and watch, then go a few rounds again? Pardon all the questions I just really don’t want to come in with my finger up my ass and leave a bad impression.
If you go there when it’s packed, you might have to wait between 10-30 mins. Depending who’s playing. So yea, you will probably lose your money quick.
There are times when it’s empty though and you can practice.
I’m guessing that like 2pm Monday-Thursday few people will be there and you can practice against the CPU to get used to joysticks. Most fighters are 50 cents.
When you start winning it’s not that expensive. Also CvS2 games last longer than 3S so you may want to practice on that.
3S and ST are both 25 cents, AC and Marvel are 50 I believe.
I feel you though, I just started going to CF a few weeks back and I didn’t know what to expect…lol.
Just go and chill, if there’s a lot of people, ie Fridays you’ll have to wait a bit to play.
If you’re going for practice you’re in luck since 3S has two cabinets, the big one is usually where all the comp is, though the small one is next to the smelly DDR players…
TOday was empty! well i got there at around four thirtyish and i some some guy leave the marvel cabinet mad pissed. phocus did you lose?
PenGs: if your still interested at kof the best players go at around 4 to 5 serious iori rushdown.
Thats actually pretty hot to hear since thats roughly around the time I’m planning on coming after classes (Brooklyn Tech in the hoooouuuussseeeee and fire-in-the-bathrooms free since December!). Though I have grown a rather giant liking to CvS2 and 3S these past few days.
Then again, come on, the best of Capcom squaring off with the best of SNK? Who doesn’t like that?
