I’m highly considering buying a Japanese 360… but with supposed rumor of price drop, I might wait another month or so.
Get a fuckin PS3.
Live isn’t really any better than PSN, in my opinion. Most games are shared between the consoles anyways. I just don’t get all the hype for Live, it’s the same crap as anything else except with a monthly fee. I have both, and have never experienced “the best online” experience through Live, nor have I experienced a poor experience through PSN. Same shit, different console.
I have been playing PC games online far longer than consoles, though, so maybe that’s a contributing factor. Still, Live should be free for online gaming. Oh, and I think Live has the worst community of all.
But in the end, SF4 is equally shitty online on all the different platforms. 
Well Jim after reading around it seems that elites can error e 74(1 red light) anytime just like normal xbox 360. Yeah I just recently got my drive modded so I can play backups but thats not what im getting at. What im getting at is that systems that cost that much money should never have some bogus error like that…i mean ive never heard of a ps3 having any errors at all. I still think 360 is the best system to have currently do to the amount of games it has and online players but errors like the one im getting is really annoying…specially since they had more then enough time for NO errors to ever pop up.
And no i think your wrong Brominator, Live is faster at least according to just about everyone who has both, and as far as the community goes I dont see how it can be worst when more top players are on it…which makes it the best community. Also the more people you have the more chances you will run into an asshole or something, but yeah $50 a year is hardly going to break my wallet. Yeah online with any fighting game is just shitty, wish more people would go to gatherings that were GOOD instead of sitting around home.

Also this site owns for quality Anime streams, they are all in Divx format and use the Divx Online Web player that Stage 6 use to use. Just started Bleach and its looking pretty good so far into episode 24.

i bought a 1st gen ps3 (60 gb) and had problems with it but when i get some stuff sorted out i’m gonna get it fixed. and ya you’re right it doesn’t happen very often with ps3s compared to xbox but on the other hand getting a ps3 repaired (they just send you a brand new one) is much more expensive.
I’ve had several game systems break over the years. My first NES broke and we had it repaired locally since back in the day you could do that, unlike today. Eventually it broke again and we just bought another one.
I think our first atari 2600 broke also but I could be wrong.
I had my PS1 break but I had owned it for over 3 years and sony fixed it for 60-70 dollars.
My Xbox started getting disc read errors until i left it at someone’s house and “someone stole it”
Oh and the last one, my first gen japanese ps2 read discs like 1/20 times until I finally had enough, opened it up, and turned one of the screws by the laser 1/4 of a turn clockwise… and it works perfectly now. Go figure.
I need to try and get out there. Let’s hope School doesn’t screw me over. I gotta keep my GPA up.
PS3’s are definitely more reliable, but there were some weird overheating problems with some of the launch ones.
I’ve got a 360 from 2006, and it’s fine. And I’ve got a PS3 from 2008 (manufactured in 2007), and it’s fine, too. Actually, the only system I’ve owned that broke was a PS1. Guess I’m lucky.
only system that broke was my second gen ps2 and it broke just last year. I read discs like once every 50 times I tried. Tried the many fixes and nothing came of it. So my friend picked me up a modded ps2 and took mine for what? don’t know, wont ask lol
I’ve never had any problems with any of my shit, I even have a launch 1994/95 (whenever it came out) ps1 that never overheated and read imports fine

The E74 error can supposedly be fixed by the x-clamp mod.
although if yours is out of warranty and can’t send it back to microsoft (ie the guy who modded your drive didn’t take the warranty sticker off properly), I think you may be stuck.
you may have to wait a while, or just buy an arcade system and swap your HDD into it until yours if fixed at ModChipMan’s, then do the whole return the arcade box you bought thing.
GATHERING TONIGHT?
I might host a gathering at my place tonight if anyone wants to come. I am located in downtown Palatine. About 5 minutes from Woodfield mall.
Huge plasma mounted high on the wall (cant possibly have a blocked view) and good sound. Big open room with a ton of chairs for everyone. I have a PS3 set up with one TE stick, so we’d just need one more good stick.
Any good SF4 players want to come by? If so, PM me. Looking to play with serious players, not people who just play casually and play 7 fighting games at the same time.
