HAPPY BRITHDAY YOSH!!!
Happy birthday Yosh!
Orka is a whale.
Aw shit…Why do these things happen when I have to work? If it wasn’t for when I work friday, I could totally go to this!
Also, Happy Birthday, Yosh…I’ll do a celebratory DnB step just for you.
happy birthday yosh!
Happy Birthday Yosh!!! I’ll big boot someone on ggpo in honor of your birthday!!!:razzy:
in honor of yosh, imma rage on xbl to some random player, all while drinking beer and screaming at them that yosh willed this to happen to them.
while they are confused and asking who yosh is, i will rage some more.
quick question about sticks, thought i’d survey the chicago scene… how long did it take you to get fully comfortable with it? I don’t mean able to pull off epic combos, just that you were completely familiar with it, and the only thing stopping you from performing said combos is your own timing/skill level.
and, do you use default settings on the TE? or do you rearrange what buttons do what. i don’t want to be using an inferior control scheme and get used to it. trying to learn this damn thing in less than a month.
xbl is so shitty today
isiah could just jump at me and my anti airs just would never come out
This isn’t an issue when you grow up around arcades…you don’t have much of a choice there, so you play on whats there or you don’t play at all. The familiarity was instant when it came to playing on a stick at home. In many cases, sticks are superior because every necessary button is available on the face and therefore easy to reach. (meaning there is no need for hotkeys). When it comes to pads, it just depends on the game…some games work in a way that a pad is about just as good as a stick, but a pad will never be SUPERIOR to a stick. Others can elaborate on this further…but hopefully I’ve given you some useful insight.
In terms of the TE, I usually leave it alone, but I would perfer to use the last 6 buttons, since that puts my button hand further away from my stick hand…but thats just a matter of personal comfort than anything.
I don’t really think there’s an “inferior” control scheme, it’s all a matter of opinion. I think the only unanimous decision on button config is don’t get into the habit of setting macros for things like 2 and 3 button presses (FA’s, RC’s, etc…)
Then again I’m still a pad warrior.
happy bday yosh,
i will also be in chi this weekend for a job interview.
lol why does humbag “I OWE MRWIZARD A CARD AND I AM BITCH” haha
I’ll be down in about half hour more or less for gaemz.
Who down? Keits? Shark?
I’ll probably hop on 360 first for a bit and if nobody playin on there I’ll defect to ps3 side. No ps3 mic for me but I’ll play in vent while I’m on.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHALE.
Yeah, but you’re a special kind of pad warrior. (THIS IS NOT A DISS) Y’See, FPStud, there’s a sort of middle ground with pads and sticks, and thats the Arcade/Fight pad. Think of the Genesis or Saturn Pad…hell, even a little bit of the N64 Pad. The 6 button layout is the mirror of the normal layout of the buttons on an arcade cabinet or stick. It’s the best of both worlds for some people, such as Clayton, here. When I went to his gathering a few weeks ago, we were playing some 3S, and he was using a regular PS2 dual shock…he played ok, but he did mention it was a bit akward for him. I remembered that He perferred to use the Street Fighter IV fight pad, and a similar controller was released with the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. I had one on me (The Ken one) and let him use that, and he ended up playing so much better.
Re up!!!
