IGNITE NETWORKS - RANKING BATTLES (Test Run, Aug. 22nd)
I am planning on doing biweekly ranking battles at Ignite, so every other Monday (which is subject to change and discussion), we will be running SSF4AE, MK9, and MvC3 ranking battles, and tally up points and rankings then. It wont be as formal as say Chicago Heart (as it takes a lot more time for planning, and I want to make these more frequent), and I don’t have the means of streaming as of right now, but we can build it up and progress with things as it moves along.
So tentatively the first one will be Aug. 22nd, Monday, starting at 7 pm, during our regular gathering hours, venue fee is the same $10 per person, and then buy-in will be $1. I encourage people to sign-up, but due to time constraints, we will be capping at 32 people. You can pre-register by pm’ing me, and then its a first come first serve basis, as I will setup the brackets. I want to gauge how much time we need, # of setups, demand, and so on.
Equipment volunteering is welcomed.

I am actually looking on craigslist to buy a CRT for cheap that I will be lending (or donating) to Ignite Networks for a dedicated classics game station, so then we can have Guilty Gear, CvS2, etc. at Ignite. Also pending leaving a ps2 there, along with a copy of GG. Anyone have one to sell for cheap? I thought I might just ask here first.
Ignite should be fun tonight. Are you guys still doing MvC3 on the big screen?
I do have a very nice Tube(Sony Wega 27" Flat) over at GGA which are using for streaming station but once the monitor that Doc bought us is in for our stream station you can take it if youd like. It may be in already actually since he ordered it over a week ago now but I will find out on Wed.
Usually they let us use the big screen, but I don’t really like using projectors. People seem like they have fun with it though.

Yeah the past two weeks Ive been there SSFIV:AE was being played, and I recalled some of the guys asking if they could play MvC3 for the night instead.

I was gonna drop by ignite with a AE setup on PS3, is anyone else down to play?
Its not worth it to drive out to do training mode for 3 hours.
Get a converter and buy a PS2 Dualshock so you can play on 360 as well, no reason to limit yourself to only one console, but I am sure you have heard this before :).

I wanna go to ignite but im kinda broke atm. still havent gotten to play brightside on even grounds 
sorry if you run into that, usually ppl are crowded around like a few of the systems, or a lot of people will play mvc3 or mk9 more. i will play some ssf4 if you bring it, but i am a bit rusty.
also like tactics mentioned, some ppl just play on specific systems more (i do like my 360 more than playing on ps3, but i will bring my converters so people can play on both).
