Yo Northsiders, I’m considering holding a weekly MvC3 gathering at my apartment. I live in East Roger’s Park, walking distance from both the Jarvis Red Line stop and the Howard Red/Purple/Yellow line stop. I have 3 screens and 1 system, so we’d need some peeps to bring their systems too. Max number of players counting myself would probably 6-8 before things started getting a little crowded. I’m thinkin’ Sundays might be best. Any interest in such a gathering?

It’s like 90% sure. It will almost certainly happen once, whether it turns into a regular weekly thing remains to be seen. If it’s not gunna work as a weekly thing, I’m not going to force it to.
I also probably should’ve mentioned I’m mainly interested in holding it for MvC3. I’m not hatin on other games, but in small gatherings like that it can suck when someone shows up to play one game and everyone else is playing another. I will edit the original post
If you want to get good at SSF4:AE id say GGA is probably best since that is our biggest game, followed by MK and then Marvel not too far behind MK. If you need a ride there are plenty of guys that are making a trip from the Northside to GGA on Wednesday when we have our Windy City Showdown provided you help them with gas. Just post on the forums and someone will reply! We have good players for just about any game though so come and get games in everything with some of the best in Chicago.
Yeah Chronocide Its not like I chose to leave early I had to leave early to pick up my step son from his bio dad(spends 1 night with his bio dad every other week). Really sucks cause I wanted to stay and spend all day there but not much I could do. Sorry to everyone If I looked so bummed out, my hands were half alive and I had to leave early = me in down mode.

oh an I like MAHVEL i just haven’t played anybody good. Only my cousin has it and I body him for free even though he has had the game since it came out and ive only played it all of 6 times. (he sucks at it even tho he says hes good.) but yeah I like Mahvel 3 and Imma probably buy ultimate when it comes out.
matter of fact if I could meet up with somebody I could help with gas and all that. itd be easier for me.

CH3 was GREAT! I had a good time. Props to Heart, Kobayashi, and Humbag for keeping the order as well as setting up this event.

I hope all the finals get posted (at the very least) since I had to leave early and could not catch any of it. Great to see a bunch of people turn up to support the event. Great tournament. All of them seemed to go on without a hitch. I wish I had time this last week to go out so I could practice on 360 but oh well.
