You missed last nights gathering J-Money, we had like 15 people at my place banging away at BB and SF4.
Also I thought id share this info with people in the community since I found it out 2 weeks ago in training mode.
In sf4 if you hit foward plus focus then foward again youll dash fast with almost no animation for the focus, youll absorb the attack and be able to punish some things if you can see them coming. I guess sort of like a parry in 3s? I dunno but I never really realized how some of the Japanese players focused and dashed so fast, but thats how they do it! Also I guess when sagat does that but with a backdash instead it increases his back dash range making it pretty useful for lots of situations. Anyways have fun with that guys!? At least you can punish some scrubs that mash normals too much.
I’ll admit I was wrong. After playing her the whole week, I just cant get her to work like other characters do. Dunno who looks good for me now but I’m gonna drop her to sub character.
Also, is there an official link to character match ups? All that I have seen is what is fan based (Nu with a 8 vs Tao’s 2 is wrong).
people worry about this kind of shit wayyyyyyyyy too much…matchups really only matter at much higher levels of play…the level that we are all at it reeeeeeally doesnt matter…unless its something blatantly obvious like arakune vs tager…but ya i just think people worry about matchup numbers way too much when we arnt even close to the level of it actually mattering…just my $.02

Started playing BB on a friend’s PSN (Nrgfink) and I don’t feel like resetting everything so I’ll likely stick with it for a while.

Lag really isn’t your friend with allecan setups and clap looping, thankfully I’ve found a lot of good connections. (Unlike SF4, cough.)

im posting from a hospital bed on my cellphone. ive had mono for over a week and have been hospitalized since wedndsday. seems i might be able to go home tomorrow finally. im mostly feeling better. i havnt played a fighting game in over a week. im fiending pretty hard. hopefully i can get some BB in online tomorrow night if anyone wants to play my arakune on psn. i missed out on so much practice time so dont expect anything amazing but it should be fun. i still dont know how good a jp to us connection generally is but we will see. nice to see everyone picked up BB though. ill come to some gatherings while im in town.
Dang, I was debating whether to head out there last night around 9ish, got lazy and stayed in.

p.s I talked to Jason(one of the managers), they’re getting Tekken 6, TvC, and possibly another SF4 setup just like the current one. They’re planning on running in-house tournaments starting August(hopefully).
p.p.s Also, if we organized our own tournaments, pay-outs have to be done outside the building.
p.p.p.s Lately, there has seemingly been some issues regarding who’s got next. I’m proposing/suggesting a number system e.g 1-10, and the numbers have to go through full cycle. When the person has the #1 card sits down, he hands the card off to someone else, and so forth.
