Yeah my ports are all fried, my xbox 360 elite, and my 2 pcs as well. We had a bad lighting storm around april that struck the cable line, it somehow didn’t mess up my modem at all but it fucked all the ethernet ports on my equipment and fried my wireless router.
I just thought of something, my modem has a usb slot on it so Im wondering if the 360 can pick up the signal from it, im using it currently on my pc since the port is fried on it but im going to be buying a new ethernet card this weekend. Anyone know if that works? ?I had to install drivers for it on my pc which makes me think it wont work on 360.
Just got done putting on a nice coat of krylon fusion glossy black on my t5 case, cant wait to see how its going to look :). Im using Rustoleeum on the metal pieces also along with some primer…should look pimp.
Yep lol. Like I posted earlier. I’m not good at that game, in fact, I only really practiced that game for the first time today before I showed up. Can’t hurt for trying!

Couple things to remember so you don’t get pissed like I did:
1 - Even though krylon fusion says it bonds to plastic, it does not bond as well as vinyl dye does. If you try to play or mess around with it immediately, it will chip off and you’ll have to resand/recoat before applying more paint, or you will get bubbling in areas.
2 - Give AT LEAST a 7 day cure period for the paint. If you’re happy with how it looks, let it sit. The packaging says it’s dry in 30 minutes or some shit, but because it’s dry does not mean it has cured yet.
3 - If the paint ends up sucking (I personally hated krylon fusion on the TE’s I did), pick up the rustoleum vinyl dye at an automotive store. In my experience, this works 1000x better on plastic then the krylon does. It’s a bit more expensive (5-6 bucks a can) but worth it. Like I said, if you start to notice chipping or paint wearing off, resand and go pick this stuff up. It’s the best that I’ve found.
I should have your template done saturday. I just need a good chunk of time to work on it then. Did you want any labeling on the buttons (like corresponding to xbox or sf button labels) at all, or just the artwork that can be cut to fit your stick?

whats going on this weekend?
Well so far I put 2 coats of it on since around 2 am, it feels pretty damn solid now to be honest. But im so worried about messing it up that I havent touched it, Im probably just going to borrow a stick from eric for the time being untill my plexi gets here :). And yeah Jim that would be cool, Id go straight to kinkos and get that shit printed out. I really have everything done and ready to go, already cut the holes in the front and put my buttons in the front now, looking good so far. Also just put some rustoleeum primer on the metal bottom and i put blue rustoleeum on the visible part, figured the white primer is good enough for the inside part.
Im wondering how I can cut the holes and stuff to be perfect to match the buttons and to make sure it fits the buttons right, i guess an exacto knife would be ideal? But about the labeling I dont need that, but I dunno be creative and keep in mind that I have clear buttons, so either mesh the art with the buttons or do something like yours where you put smash in them. Ill do either or as long as it looks clean and good :).

D : Exacto knifes work wonders for cutting out buttons as well as trimming the extra art off the sides.
You should get Exacto blades (finer the tip, the better), a cutting board and light adhesive tapes (to keep the paper in place on board).
Compass blades might seem like a good idea for cutting out buttons, but they’re hit or miss. For me personally, compass blade made the process difficult; just don’t seem to work as well when you’re cutting in small radius.
