i too will try anything but, ideally, for a side game i would like to pick somehting fun that i can just take everybody:s money in for a while while applying only basic levels of effort. and than when people realize how much i suck at the game, and the bullshit i can get away with but still win, other players will go after that money, and a community for the game will be born…
Why does he have to? I sat down with SF IV and liked it enough, and I sat down with VP and liked it enough…does that make me some sort of freak of nature? I just like fighting games period, and if I can find some sort of enjoyment in it, then I’ll play it. (Don’t get it twisted, there’s plenty of Fighting games out there that I consider SHIT and wouldn’t ever want to play, ever.) Webs is gonna like what he’s gonna like, but I can understand why people would get frustrated with him too. Webs, Stop bashing games with such Hyperbole, it makes you look like a bitch, and you’re not a bitch!
In the case of SF IV, I can honestly say that I do like the game, but at the same time it annoys the hell out of me for various reasons. However, I’m not gonna just play a fighter because everyone else is playing it…thats a stupid reason to do anything, and it’s a shitty mentality to have in general.
Well the competition in SF is larger (debatable) but the other games I’ll just play on the side, but they will mess with my timing. I just like having people to play against and sf provides that in spades so far. my 2 cents.
my father is visiting north carolina (thats where he’s from) but he lives in chicago down the street from me. We have the bowling alley that’s like right behind my house in walking distance and they have a pool hall. I haven’t been in there in a while i guess i’ll check if they still have it. but it had a lot of pool tables in there so i dont think it just upped and vanished. they used to have a mvc1 cabinent in there too.
I like how I direct a post straight to Webs yet someone else starts talking like i was directing anything towards them…Anyways I was simply stating if he gave the same effort to other games he might like them the same way he does to the games he plays. He just seems to bash whatever everyone else likes in other words: as in he wants to be the odd ball on purpose. So yeah, anyone else want to think im talking to them too?
No real hate though Webs I like you, I was just questioning your bashing of BB a few pages ago and your preemptive idolizing of that VP, i mean the game wasnt even out and you were already all over it. But its all good, guess its just your brand of stuff :).

You really gotta take a lot of time with most fighters and get to know them in order to make a respectable opinion as to why they’re good or bad…but there are some out there where this is not the case. (Axel City instantly comes to mind) This is where most Fighting Game reviews fail.
