Stuck, I heard that Gentry took another job somewhere in Nike. It is short for black/red, but it’s so stupid. That’s like calling anything with fire red in them “freds”. Raptors? The Raptors didn’t even exist when the VIIs came out. Playoffs? Jordan didn’t always wear black sneakers in the playoffs. The nicknames need to stop. Jordans aren’t SBs, so don’t classify them like they are. Classification by model plus colorway should suffice.

Sneakers with polyurethane midsoles are prone to cracking and crumbling if left unworn for years because they don’t get enough moisture from being exposed to air. Don’t use silica gel packs to slow down the yellowing process for clear soles, either. Silica absorbs moisture and dries out the midsoles, making them more susceptible to crumbling.
So how can you prevent your shit from falling apart? Simple: Wear your sneakers. If you have icey soles and want to preserve them without silica packs, store them in a cool, dry place, and avoid getting the soles wet. Keep in mind that clear soles inevitably turn yellow anyway. It’s the natural process of oxidation.
Shoes with rubber midsoles can be kept DS forever and still be wearable, though. Stuff like Air Jordan Is and Dunks, for example.

How do they look in person? I love Reebok and I love Kool Aid but I just couldn’t justify that purchase. Reebok had a couple shirts to match those, but they haven’t been moving just like the shoes.
