Made out of 1/4" carbon steel and the bottom is plexiglass. I used a Sanwa JLW stick and Seimitsu 24mm buttons.
My wire management sucks, but oh well. I’m just happy it works.
Weighs about 8lbs, but I never really go anywhere I need to carry it around.
Have you tried telling them that you need some proper work experience on your CV to get a job after education?
It’s not just some bs excuse attempt, EVERYONE is looking for experience these days, if you don’t have experience, chances are you aren’t going to have a job any time soon after education.
Show them a few jobsearch websites and how many jobs have descriptions which include the likes of “you will have a background in x”, “experience in y is essential” or on the lower end of the scale “experience desirable”.
They may not want to let you have a job if it’s just to raise money for a hobby but when they find out that it is so valuble on your CV along with your grades they may just have a change of heart.
Don’t give up trying though because it really is important.
I agree. That’s why I’m gonna try to get into a Nurses Assistant program a couple of my friends are going into. After a couple of months of training, they said that the job they’ll be getting will be paying $15 an hour. w00t.
If not, there’s always other stuff I can look for…
meh, if you have a degree and no experience, you can usually still get in at entry level or jobs that say they require 1-2 years experience. The difference is you’ll get SUPER low balled on your pay, haha.
Im a utilitarian, man. The way I see it, any kinkos printed stuff under the plexi would take away from the beauty of the stick, not add to it. And there’s lots of beauty there. You may see plain or even boring. I see clean, elegant, form and function.
And I’ll easily say that eck’s carpentry skills far surpass my photoshop skills.
I never knew Poplar could look so good! They look as clean as the exotic hard woods. Are they just sanded and poly applied? No stain or anything? I am going to have to try that. The cost of materials for both those boxes had to be like 10$. How economical.
Man that Cocobolo looks awesome. I want to make a stick out of that stuff so bad, but I value my house and children too much (which I would have to sell in order to afford that stuff). Awesome work as always ecksnine!
Very nice, I love that Zebrawood man, it looks sooooooo nice!
