Oh man, FunkyP, I love that Sega Virtua Stick High Grade clone! That’s done very professionally and hoorah for using an LS-32 in there! :tup:

Thanks guys, it was actually quite a pain in the ass to make that thing look close to what i wanted. Its all MDF, can be quite hard to make what you want outside of just a square box with the stuff. My school’s belt sander was quite a godsend though, impossible to have made that without it.

Man wish i could, didn’t take pics of the build process. Actually messed up royaly and had to improvise half way through. When or If i build another one of these i’ll definitely post the worklog.

And here’s the final piece from my previous post. Tekken 5 case, pcb, modded with all sanwa and an hrap2 layout (seimitsu 1p).

I’m rather pleased with myself right now. I’ve never soldered before and only watched 2 youtube videos and at the end of the day I didn’t mess any buttons up. Only had a little mishap with the joystick motion but since I used a barrier strip, fixing the problem was a cinch. I also used solid wire instead of stranded which I didn’t notice till after I soldered everything but it turned out to be a non-issue and everything is working great. Thanks to zeetes who sent me an extra pair of sanwas, I won’t need to get another set from elsewhere.

Just need some bleeding jlf mounting screws that I haven’t been able to find. Tried Home depot and they didn’t have the right one.

Got a HRAP3. Decided to get one before they’re totally phased out in favor of the V3/VX and we no longer see Sega cab based designs. It’s still stock for now, but in about a week (or two) it should have plexi and new art.

Figured that I’ll post these here, just artwork that I have been working on for a while for my TE stick. :

Think I’m going to paint my bezel black next, get some red and black sanwa buttons and a yellow or black ball top.

Where’d you get the base templates for those, they’re awful. Whoever did those needs to be stripped of his rep/contrib points. :razz:

DUDE! wazwuz, that’s an incredible stick! Is that meant to be based off of the Sega Virtua Stick High Grade? Because that looks almost exactly like it! For a moment, I thought you did some insane modding to one of those! :lol:

Love the minimalist color scheme and the cleanliness of the wiring job. What material is that thing made of anyway?
