Check Out My New Arcade Stick! (No Image Quoting)

Nope! He has no clue. He thinks he is getting an akuma stick… muhuahaha!

HAR! I’m looking forward for pics

Morning peeps
Here’s the latest stick done for a christmas present for a co-worker.
The artwork has a bit of history to it, it was done by my co-workers brother as a part of a contest for Heavy Metal. He won for his re-creation of Julie so his sister wanted me to use that and add a new background to clean things up.
Big Leaf maple (no curl ) ebony stained
Chimp+360 dual mod
Led mod Light on Activation

Also great job to everyone on the builds custom and mods
It’s great to see the all the new builders emerging!!

@toodles
Been wanting to cop one of these for a while now and was wondering how the setup feels with the 24mm buttons. Would you recommend Sanwa 24mm over Seimitsu’s?

well those type of gifs can be found on most of the pages on the SRK Wiki (at least on 3S) but real animated gifs can be found here http://www.fightersgeneration.com/main.htm

i really need to get ImageReady back, i kinda want to get back into animated forum art.

Yo Souji, you’re sticks are becoming more and more serious. I’m still relatively new so I haven’t seen much of your past work but your recent stuff is…K.O.

This is mine.

It was a gift from a friend. I love it.

Vans: Wow. Fucking awesome artwork. I’d never let that go. It looks great, I love CVS2

Thanks! Learned a lot after the big run in the summer. In trying to find a neater way to get the led mod it seems that routing out areas for the pcbs and terminal strip helps a lot. Thanks again 4lefty!

Now that’s a gift! way cool

Man…I really hate waiting for parts to arrive in the mail. Especially when I got a stick project I’m working on.

Nothing tests my patience more.

Souji,

I really like the new stick, I’m curious though : what are the dimensions of that case?
It looks big. Not in a bad way, definitely not criticizing…

Looks like it may be 9 x 14? I like how there’s a good amount of room on the left hand side…

Anyway, keep up the good work, that is a great looking stick.

That stick looks great souji5, I love the low profile and the dark stain color on it. The wiring on the inside looks awesome too, a very nice job as always. That truly is a gift that will keep on giving!

:lovin: Matskat
You’re correct the stick is roughly 8 3/4" x 14". The customer is a bigger guy who needs the handroom and his sister was adament about keeping “julie” intact  Good lookin on the positive feedback:lovin:

 much luv
I hope dudes really happy

souji5, LOVE that ebony stain, curly maple or not. I’m going to have to experiment with that on some wood. I’m going to have to see what that looks like applies to some plywood. If it doesn’t work, I’ll probably do one with some poplar.

My Physh case was just delivered, so my next project can begin. I’ll post up when done. It should be good!

That’s Julia Strain, right?

That’s an AWESOME theme, B-Movie Vixens!

I got an idea!

Thanks dude!

I’ve been thinking about keeping with the pin-up girl theme that I did with the Betty Page stick I posted a few weeks ago, but B-movie chicks is almost better.

We’ll have to see where that leads…

The holes in the old style sticks are perfect for 24mm snap ins. I didn’t try any seimitsu 24mm because I could only find screw ins. If the stick can use snap ins, I always go with snap ins. I dont trust screw ins.

:wgrin:
Looking forward to it

Right again!
Honestly I was wondering myself if the theme would fit with a fightstick so I tried to work a few things in to bring it together (black rim buttons, and texture metallic flake bottom).

Go for it on the “B” chicks theme, I would love to see some of the femme fatals from the late 90’s brought back

Thanks for the info!!
Feel you on the snap-ins, for wood screw-ins are awesome, but plastic or metal casing not so much.

Nice job on the Heavy Metal stick souji5. I love those black rims w/ the clear plungers.

Case: custom MDF, acrylic
Board: Alienware ps2/PC gamepad w/blue LEDs

X-mas present for my daughter. Was going to be Rosie the Riveter themed but she wanted Hello Kitty’s goth friend.
