My finished T5 Stick. 360MadCatz pad. :cybot:

  1. TE w/ black acrylic top and arrowed dustwasher (by arthong)
  2. EX-SE w/ white meshball

I know, i know… i’m colorless. What can I say? I get bored of color-schemes very quickly.

That shit is nice. I like the TE a lot.

Something about having sticks looking simple and minimalist like this that gives them a certain charm. Even without colours they look amazing

uhh im pretty sure most trolls troll on their first post…

But if you are serious, when you quote the image, you can remove the

to make the link appear but not the picture

That is an awesome looking stick Matskat, that Poplar almost looks like Cherry or something. I love your choice or art and buttons too. Everything works together very well. Great work

Thanks for the negative rep… whoever did it… -_-

K Groove :lovin:

Matskat, that poplar stick looks great!

The sticks that I currently have. The sfac is the first stick I had when I was a kid playing ps2 games and didn’t even know about happ parts until over a year later
I’m hoping to exchange the sealed TE for a round 2 TE, although I’m not sure if I can still. I’m hoping the receipt that I lost is inside the box! I want to mod the other TE. I really like the look of hraps, so I don’t really want to change it yet.
I also have a custom stick that ecks9 made for me and posted a long time ago, which isn’t in the pic. That is currently my favorite arcade stick.

My friend made the art, its a take off the SF2 art.

Hahaha, I love it.

I bought the two of these old style AES controllers in pretty piss poor condition from an ebay auction, and I’m almost done rejuvenating them.

Fact is, I never really liked my original AES stick gaming, but the d-sub 15 shaped connector and the simplicity of the wiring makes them VERY VERY handy for the electronics crap I’m always doing. After the buttons were replaced, I may just have to give them a shot for Neo gaming again.

Work done:
-Original buttons on both which I HATE were replaced with 24mm Sanwa snap-ins, colors matching the ā€˜official’ colors of the four buttons.
-One of the stick’s cord was absolutely destroyed. This was replaced with a perfectly working cord thanks to Hunter-Zero.
-Each of the sticks were completely disassembled. Each piece was completely wiped down to remove the old grime buildup combination of cheeto-dust and plastic grease. After they were wiped down and cleaned completely, silicon lube bought from masterfadur was used on all of the moving parts, especially the fulcrum grommet.

  • The original Matsushita microswitches were replaced with brand new identical switches made by Omron. Frankly, I’d bet the originals were still working alright, but I know with these new ones I won’t have to mess with it for another 10-20 years. Digikey part number: SW1086-ND
  • One of the sticks was missing the balltop, while the other had the usual cracked purple ball. Both were replaced by red LB-30 balltops.
  • An additional dust washer was added to go above the stick case. The original dust washer the went between the main stick body and the stick case was cleaned and left in place. I was always afraid before of pinching skin between the stick and the case top. I think this looks much better, which no fear of pinching.

Todo:
-get some of that auto scratch remover/plastic polish stuff to clean up the outside of the case.

I can’t wait to dig out my CMVS and give them a try. The stick feels TONS better, and I’m very impressed by the small size, short throw, and overall simplicity/elegance of the stick design.

Hot Shit Toodles. I wish I could afford an AES. I thought those things would go down further in price, but it looks like the market is holding firm. I was toying with the idea of consolizing an MVS, but you have gotta love them big ass AES carts.

Consolizing an MVS is a pretty fun project, and the carts are tons cheaper. Most of the MVS mobos have controller ports for AES controllers like these to plug into. The only downside is that trying to get component or better video outputs could be difficult, but s-video and component video output is pretty easy.

Erm, SuperGun?

I apologize in advance for the shitty pics. I had to use a cell for the time being. So, lots of graininess, reflection, etc. It looks a lot better in person
