Time to make kitty a Felicia stick.
ungh. for some reason, i can’t get my cat to hold my stick:sad::sad:
I could always commission that to you.
That was just completely unscripted. It was like she was trying to mimic me. I mean, I got out of a stupid loss, and was frustrated, then I turn around, and see that, and I forgot about it. Just too much win from my cat.
grreat sticks sick…
Cant wait to get my raeli artwork and I’ll repost mine!
Wow, that’s a really nice lookin’ stick man. I just love how it looks. Totally fits the whole Gradius theme.
Just finished this about an hour ago. It was my first mod, and I hope to get some better pics up soon. I bought the se for 20 dollars, and ordered sanwa push buttons with a sanwa JLF stick from lizardlick. Pretty good price in my opinion, considering I was going to mod my te, which doesn’t actually need it.
That is one very sweet looking custom stick, I especially love the paint job and all of the recessed details on it, heck the wiring ain’t nothing to sneeze at either. Very very nice work sir!
That is one cool stick. The artwork fits well with the paint. The cutouts for the side buttons and stuff are top notch.:wow:
We can explore it a little, I would be down with that. I’d have to get a new custom plexi, which I am cool with. I would prefer the plate underneath to be metal as opposed to wood but if you have ideas I am open to em. I have never been able to play non cross handed, I am seriously curious what it would be like too.
My very first time:

There will be plenty more where that came from, I had a great time doing this.
My Latest. Metal Control panel
Here is my latest.
I really wanted a metal control panel. I found a way around welding a mounting plate by putting 2 layers of 1/4 MDF to mount the stick and having it able to accomodate both screw and snap ins. Also metal handle. Using Sanwa OSBC for 6 buttons JLF and mixed on back. All using hand held tools. I have some Dhalsim Art on the way from mamemarquees.com, but I think I might leave it as is. The stick is soo damn cold in the morning though. 16 Guage weldable steel makes it heavier than an Xbox 360. Actually it is rediculously heavy, maybe 15 lbs. (actually weighed it. It was about 8 lbs) This is even heavier than Namtran’s Metal Cases.
Jatoba for sides and Paduak for the front and back.
Hole for Joystick to tighten or change balltop.
Comparison to TE
Also got a metal neutrik RJ-45 mounted sacrificing a JLF mounting plate.

Preliminary Sketch of plans
Photo Album with pictures during construction.
Also want to thank Souji and Kaytrim for the wood working tips.
Also Here is a link to a post I made about how to mount the Neutrik RJ-45 into wood.

nice stick rt where did you get that art on your te?
That’s looking really sweet! Very creative with the metal/wood mix!
Nice sketches. I love seeing stuff like that. Nice stick too!!
I had to get the chun li art into my computer through a scanner from my pencil sketch and Wacom tablet.
I also animated my current Avatar from scratch. I put up a picture or two of NGPC sprites for style reference while working on it.
I also drew the dhalsim portrait for this image but took the Ganesh image off the web. I was going to put this on my stick and the indian flag off of deviant art on the bottom. I might make another metal panel just to be able to go back to the bare metal look.

Edit: Just after I was typing the art from Mame Marquees came to my door. Damn have to leave for work. What to do what to do. I kinda like how it looks with no art… yet I spent $70 getting this printed…

Edit 2:
While watching the end of the World Series game 2 I applied the art. Feels good, just like the surface of a stock EX2 or FS3. More comfortable than the cold metal. Hopefully this will help prevent rust.

I understand you dont want wood top panel the only reason i said that is so that you could “TEST” the layout and tweak it prior to commiting to the custom plexi or a custom metal plate the piece of wood would set you back $4 then you would have enough to test about 4 layouts versus the $20-30 for the metal/plexi and not know if you are happy with it. ONce you test it out and find what you want you could go that custom route or if you wanted the acrylic place i was talking about is here in vegas and for what i mentioned earlier you could make your own acrylic case big enough to have the wrist space you need. Going to head up to GO today around 7 so if your upthere we could talk about it more
nice you dont happen to have any boss bison art ?
Came out really nice, I like it.
