I’m really thinking of swapping them out for Sanwa. Mainly just the joystick itself.

Thanks! Yes the Bloodwood weights a ton and it has a bright ruby red appearance which the pictures don’t show. It might be my new favorite wood.

Yeah I tried using some of that stuff a while ago and it is DENSE! So dense in fact that it chipped all to hell because my router bits weren’t sharp enough to route it. You did a very nice job working with this wood sir!
Thanks! Yea, I have to diamond sharpen my router bits to a razors edge to prevent the chipping on most exotic hardwoods.
I used to do a lot of work with Argentinian Lignum Vitae. Its probably the most dense wood in the world…it SINKS IN WATER.
It is a true tool ruiner. I had to sharpen my hand planes literally twice or three times during a small job and I was only making custom bokken for my fellow Iaido students. The upside is that this stuff is so hard, a bokken will last for YEARS. I was putting my Lignum bokken up against hard maple bokken and the hard maple would shatter, and the lignum was not even dented. :wow:
So yeah, I feel your pain on the demands of working with dense exotics.

That’s the barcode for the stick itself, straight from the box, located under the turbo. Those black shiny accents on the side are from a paint marker I used to cover up scratches.
