Since a lot of people are going to be flying out to evo i thought it might be a good idea to have a thread where people could exchange information on where to book cheap flights.
I myself am looking for a cheap flight from somewhere like new york to las vegas, if anybody knows what airline is cheapest i would really appreciate a heads up.
Usually the cheapest you can find a flight for is around 6 weeks to 2 months before the actual trip. Also check out farecast to see the prediction on when prices will rise or fall. I booked for $270 and the next week the price dropped by $30, so keep in mind the prices fluctuate.

About a week or two before the Evo dates were announced I had about $260 in airline credits. Then I sold it to someone.

If it’s available where you live, Allegiant Air has good rates. One-way tickets to and from Vegas from where I lived last year where $49 for a while, typically fluctuated between that and $110 as the months went on.
Also, using travelocity or expedia to set up a price watch is a good idea as well. They will mail you when deals pop up that put the price below your threshold, and you can go see if those will meet your dates.
Yeah, Allegiant has some good rates.

Around here they don’t fly every day, and when they do fly it is once that day.
Virgin Airlines is extremely cheap when bought around 2 months before (or 2 days before)

Also Allegiant sounds great, we have something similar in europe caled ryan air, dirt cheap flights, but the problem is they don`t fly everywhere you want to go, does allegiant fly from vegas to new york?
Last year I flew southwest, and while it sucked, it wasn’t bad since bags were free, and now a days, sometimes bags cost more than the flight.
So yeah. I also get emails from southwest from time to time saying that if you book before X date flights between a set time is like 50 bucks.
yo deals arent hard to find. i got lucky last year and bought my ticket a few days before evo for around $260+tax. not bad for extremely short notice.
Are these prices round-trip or one-way? I’m gonna start putting money away when I can to have a nice little fund for Evo.

Vegas is one of the cheapest places to fly and stay. Ive flown round trip as low as 140 dollars (allegiant air) and the most i ever payed was 320.

Depends on what you mean by new york. allegiant air services upstate but not the 5 boros. So they service NY, but not NYC (with the rest of the airlines).
