good to know
Just came back from my trip to Vegas, actually brought my stick to go play with the locals there… I think I did a decent job representing Blanka… it’s funny how half of them just went straight to Boxer when I played Blanka… thank god I had some decent amount of Boxer experience.

Why is T. Hawk such a hard match up?

in the framedata, what does the 0+4 and 1+4 startup (ultra and super) mean???
things before a + are before super/ultra flash and things after the + are after the super flash.
so ultra is 4 frames after the flash only, flash happens in 0 frames, so 4 frames total. Super is 5 frames.
U1 used to have frames before the super flash which made it easier to hit a button and get tagged by the startup.
thx
Re old ultra data, did not know that, how did that work exactly?
In super, it was “1+3”, so in essence, it was a little better because if your opponent pushed a button during that 1 frame before flash, they would be tagged, but in 2012, they wouldn’t get hit since the flash would negate the button press during that one frame.
Oh I see, that’s much better. Thanks
There is a post on the SRK front page about the 32 team Capcom National Tournament. There are 13 teams qualified so far (3 people each - so 39 people so far) and there are only 2 charge characters, and they are both Dictator. Pretty sad. I hope at the very least, Taku, Nishikin, Mizoteru and/or Chari (does this guy even play anymore?) get in so we can see some Blanka representation.
apparently mizoteru and t srai got far but didn’t qualify.
Just so hard to win with blanka at a high level vs a field of players.
I don’t think people get sometimes how hard some of his matchups are until you play someone really good.
I went heavy veggies and no gluten lately and i just farted and melted my chair.
Really though these smell like death.
yeah seriously people try to paint this as a game of 6-4 and 5-5 matchups and it really isn’t. Not only that his margin of error is ridiculously small a lot of the time. Getting down 20% in some matchups can be a pretty much insurmountable life disadvantage.
Blanka has a lot of very favorable matchups, but the matchups he struggles in tends to be the stronger characters in the game, which really hurts him.
Here here. I tried Honda online today, first time ever. I can see why so many people play him. But he’s boring… not Ryu boring, but I wish he could hop or slide haha. Nice easy combos with him though, given the chance… loose links to big damage. Surprised myself a few times looking at the other players life-bar, or what was left of it. Honda wolfs down chunks of life compared to Blanka.
Wish me luck tonight. No practice, tons of schoolwork stress, and an overall belief I should stay home and do homework, but fuck all that, Lets play some street fighter. I’ll post the link to the stream when i can.
Luck 'o the Oirish, Clovers, Green Guinness… all that chit. Shock 'em dead.
Josh P in grand finals folks
Okay Josh we are going to need to talk about the Seth matchup, you were letting him get away with murder.
