Granted, I don’t like Charlie Sheen either and it wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t tell absolutely everyone, if only due to the amount of drugs that he’s done and likely the amount of sex he’s had even while just on said drugs. Mere suspicion isn’t confirmation, however, and this still doesn’t affect any of us either way, so the level of vitriol at present is rather weird, especially given the people involved.

I’m rather confused as to who is defending Charlie Sheen in here. The closest to “defending” to him that people have come are is Daemos saying that no one really deserves HIV and other people pointing out the obvious in that at least some of the money-grubbing (literal) whores he slept with would gladly use this opportunity to sue him even if he did tell literally everyone he slept with that he was HIV positive. While people may disagree on the former, you basically have to be intentionally blind or utterly naive to not realize the latter would be true even if there wasn’t ground for responsible suspicion that he’s lying or forgetting due to his infamous drug use, which may well be how he contracted it in the first place.
Other than that, any “defense” so far is just pointing out that unless it’s proven he did lie, these people have no legal ground to actually stand on even if ended up showing HIV at a later date after sleeping with him. That fact and also the fact as far as we know currently, he wasn’t intentionally or maliciously attempting spreading it to anyone despite having sex without a condom at least some of the time (like an irresponsible idiot). He’s still allowed to have sex despite being HIV positive and, as long as he was truthful to the people he boned (or got boned by, whatever), then it was literally those people’s beds to lie in with him since they knew the risks provided they even contracted anything at all.
If it gets proven he’s lying about disclosure, then there’s definitely actual grounds to sue him, if not jail him, which is what should happen; I don’t think anyone in here is against that. That said, I personally agree with the idea that he’d probably kill himself before going to jail depending on the circumstances, and in any event, the only thing that’s been proven so far is that he has HIV and he’s on drugs for it to the point where it’s “undetectable”.
