Well ufc doesn’t have anything to do with picking the winner, the judges do and they work for the athletic commision so kill the ufc hate 
this once again proves they need to revamp their scoring system though.
I’m really happy rua is back to form. There should be an immediate rematch IMHO as Dana and both fighters agree with fight went to the wrong guy.

I watched the post-event conference and it was illuminating. Dana White and the UFC have absolutely no control over the judges. It’s the state athletic commission. White and the UFC wants it to improve as much as we do, although he admits he has no idea (yet?) how to improve it.
So it seems the UFC and Boxing are both hampered by a shared weakness: a state athletic commission which is pretty incompetent.
Dana White says he thinks Shogun won the fight as well, but that the athletic commision couldn’t give less of a shit about what he says or thinks.
So, let’s lay off the UFC on this one. It is an outside commission’s fault that the fight wasn’t scored correctly.
Hell, even I thought the UFC wanted to keep Machida on top at first, but after learning this I kind of sympathize with organizations like Boxing and UFC. These fighters put their health on the line, fight hard (in some cases more than others) and then some outside commission fucks everything up.
The biggest thing is not all judges weigh things the same. Ie a clean shot might count more for one judge than another. Some judges reward take downs but not escapes (be it via scrambling or just stuffing the shot). It’s hard to score a fight anyways, but ufc has mote factors to consider than boxing and they can’t even get boxing right. Personally, the ufc does not benifit from having machida as champ. The only truely impressive fights he’s had have been thaigo silva, rashaad, and this one. If anything, rua is the mote hypable fighter of the two. He definitely has the better highlight reel lol.
I really need to watch the fight again before I make anymore opinions though

Yeah, so the s’ville people for the most part have decided to hold off on T6. If it becomes some big monster of a game around here, we might consider picking it up but for now we’re gonna hold out hope for a US version of VF5R or just something new from the VF team.
That and I’m more hyped for DJ Hero than Tekken.
I think we’re all gonna be doing some SSF4, though… and I’ll definitely be doing BB when the new stuff drops. Is that going to be a patch or dlc or new disc or what?
You will be old and senile by the time VF5R gets a console release.

Illness forces Lesnar postponement

Buzz up! 493 PrintBrock Lesnar, the Ultimate Fighting Championships massive heavyweight titleholder, was forced to withdraw Monday from his highly anticipated Nov. 21 title defense in Las Vegas against Shane Carwin.
Carwin, via his Twitter feed, said the fight will be rescheduled for UFC 108 on Jan. 2.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the news to Yahoo! Sports. White said Lesnar has been ill for more than three-and-a-half weeks and unable to train. With the bout at UFC 106 less than a month away, Lesnar was forced to postpone the title defense.
He said hes never been this sick in his life, White said. He said its been going on for a long time and he just hasnt been able to shake it.
Lesnars co-manager, Brian Stegeman, said he does not know whether Lesnar had H1N1, commonly known as swine flu, and that he is beyond the stage at which he could be tested for the virus. He said Lesnar had upper respiratory issues, fever and extreme fatigue.

Carwin (11-0), who made several appearances in Los Angeles on Saturday to promote the fight, was clearly disappointed at getting the news.
My heart just sank, as you can imagine, Carwin told Yahoo! Sports upon hearing the news about the fight postponement.

Stegeman said Lesnar just took an entire week off from training with no appreciable improvement. He said Lesnars head mixed martial arts coach, Marty Morgan, didnt think hed have enough training time to properly prepare.
We kept thinking that hed get better and be back at it, but it finally got to a point here where we were looking at a situation where Brock would have just two weeks to train for this fight.
Thats just not fair to him. Theres no way a two-week training camp is even close to being fair to him and we all realized that. We kept hoping Brock would respond and get better, but it just lingered.
VF5R is literally never coming so I wouldn’t hold out any hope for it. VF just never sells in the states ever and I’m sure Sega won’t bother until VF6 comes out.
In any case I picked up T6 for the 360. Kinda went back and forth deciding between systems but I ended up getting it for the system I have a stick on. I’m pretty awful at it fuck yeah!
Yeah, we all know that it’s never going to come out. It’s just too annoying playing Tekken as a VF player, because the entire time you play Tekken you just notice the things you like about VF more.
I did get to play T6 and from the little bit I saw, I liked it. Movement seemed much less robotic. I thought I was going to end up liking this but I actually really hate the new K-groove thing they got going on.
I really don’t want to shell out the money for T6 right now, I’m afraid it’s just gonna be a SF4 repeat where we all play it a lot at first and then the game becomes non-existent.
You’ll probably see the s’ville people come back for SSF4 and the new BB, but we have to pass on T6 for now.
In regards to anything VF related, it’s a shame VF5R isn’t coming here as I really really liked VF5. That game just flowed really well to me and weirdly had pretty good netcode.
With T6 the rage system is interesting but I don’t think it’s that big a deal unless you let your guard down that much when they’re low. The online is kind of a mixed bag. No idea how it is on PSN (Josh tells me it’s terrible) but I don’t really understand how some five-bar matches can be nearly flawless and then other five-bar matches can lag in weird ways that I’ve never seen in a fighting game online. Whatever, it’s fun enough although playing Scenario Mode is so so bad, holy shit. Even worse is that it’s the only way to make decent money in the game. D:
