What are you talking about this game is awesome. XII is the S***ty KOF And yes I’m let down that people didn’t get the best fighting game out there. SSF4 is crap and haven’t played UMVC3 but I’m pretty sure that game is crap too
man everyone on the doom train now, its all good though

Bottom post. LMAO Discuss.
It doesn’t matter how good a game is if no one plays it. We will see how good the game is though. The verdict is still out. I agree with you about street fighter 4 sucking.
Come on now, I understand you’ve been gaming with Shawn but I know when to block
Don’t get Hybrid. It’s basically the movie and some bullshit art. You can install both Tag HD and the demo to the PS3. Justin is going to install them both for me the next time I go up to Myrtle Beach.
Him and Ahmed said it’s like T6 with much better movement (they were sidestepping EWGF, Hellsweeps, and backdashing jabs), tag combos, and stages that don’t make you feel like you’re stuck in a small box.
I’m digging the new Marvel. I’m so happy that my team is legit, at least until the game evolves T.T
Looks like Charleston scene is dead… SFAE is not crap, and it’s unfortunate people don’t want to step their game up… Instead people just move on to another game, and then on to another, and never get good an any of them… My thing is what is everyones plan for games… Is it to stay a casual gamer, and not care about winning or placing in a ranbat/tourney, or to be competitive and try to be really good at atleast the 2-3 main games before moving on to new ones…
@ Icege: You still using Felicia/Dante? I think Vergil/Wesker maybe the new BFF duo because these two work too well together. Unblockable setups, both of their assist help extend each other combos and Vergil’s assist helps Wesker get in/cross-up. I’m also pleased with UMvC3. Granted it still feels like the same game for the most part, I’m giving the game a chance this time around rather than shitting on it early and not putting forth enough effort.
@ Bigpaul: Charleston still has competitive gamers, but the situation here has been similar to Cola where you’ve only got a few players attending/traveling to tournaments. There were around 6 people from Charleston at G-Vegas and a couple at Battle at the Beach. As long is SC doesn’t continue to shit on games they don’t like, it’ll help keep players who like those games motivated to compete and not deter people wanting to try others.
@ Karnage: Once we get stuff down in training mode, we should play online sometime. Games against 3 & 4 bar connections are good, but anything lower than that is meh. I was messing with Joe, Athena, Yuri, Raiden and Maxima yesterday.
Right now I don’t have a third character. I just pick Dormammu as my third because I like him in the first game
My thing is Me, ryan, seth, thomas, Ant, kimbo, and Calvin are competitive at SFAE, and it seems like everyone else wants to drop it bc they don’t want to step there game up to be competitive… Instead they just call the game trash, and go on to other games that in time they will just drop and call trash too… I thought the top games were gonna be SFAE, MK, and Marvel/Tekken. I don’t even hear MK come up in discussion anymore, and people are dropping SF… SF was a game everyone knows how to play, and thats why it became the lead game… I was learning mk a lil, and now that it sems like that is gone it’s like why try to learn another game when the community just drops games every 3 months anyway… I say get SOLID at 1-2 games that are evo/FR lead games and go from there… I can’t see this community playing 6 games and expecting to be solid at all of them…
Btw is anyone hosting today??
Well, I know i’m not gonna be dropping SF4 any time soon. Wasn’t thinking of taking Marvel very seriously, but we’ll see. I also plan on giving Tekken a serious run once Tag 2 drops. This will be my first Tekken that I’ll actually be picking up, so hopefully it’s still big around here.
I definitely don’t wanna focus on too many games so for me it’s looking like SF4/Tekken/then it’s a toss up between KOF/Marvel. I’d prefer KOF over Marvel, but it seems like Marvel is gonna get more play around here.
I agree with you, and my picks will be SF, and tekken as my mains… Then I will prob pick up another game depending on whats being played more, and time to learn a new game… I know that in most other city’s like ATL, FL, NY and Cali SF4/Tekken is lead game, Then it’s prob Marvel/Mk from what I have seen… So it looks like we are the only crew trying to play 6-7 games, and expecting to be good at all of them… Not very realistic…
Anyone else with KOF having issues with the netcode? The little bit that I’ve played has been complete garbage. Also matchmaking pulls up 2-3 people max and most of the time says it can’t find anyone.
lame :\
Well by no means am I saying that people should try to play EVERY game that comes out, but just not to dismiss the ones you don’t play. I only expect for most players to specialize in 1-2 games, but having players that play different games is not a bad thing (IE SF/Tekken, KOF/UMvC3, BB/SF, etc.) Also, with so many game coming out, you have to understand that some players drop games because there are anothers they enjoy more.
@ Cr0wley: 3 or 4 bar connections are the only ones that are good for me in KOF13, but I’m sure there will players within’ this region you can play online for a better experience. Anything else is meh.
I just like to play games mostly for the comraderie ( sorry I misspelled that word)
So, I got nothing to do tonight…is any one down to go to the strip clubs or is anyone hosting games? I’m down for either thing.
if not there’s always xbox live for me anyway
I have my own opinion on why the scene here does things the way it does, but I think it might cause more problems trying to identify reasons as opposed to finding solutions.
I’m going to be playing Marvel and Tekken. If 2012 is balanced I’ll give it a shot but I don’t care much for SF4. tbh if Abel wasn’t in the game I wouldn’t touch it. Not a fan.
Those in the area that want to level up in Marvel and Tekken hit me up. If you want some advice that I can give (ie: I can tell you how to deal with Felicia but not Firebrand atm) or somebody to bounce tech off of I’m more than open.
True story: umvc3 guide says the same thing that I have been saying for years in regards to casual vs tournament play
Sent from my Balls using YourChin
Hey Big Paul the main reason why it doesnt seem like ppl want to game here anymore is because we don’t have a place to game every week. I let my apt open to gaming for about a year straight and My wife wanted me to calm it down here recently plus I’ve been working from 9:30 am to 8pm at night. At that time I really don’t feel like playing games. Trust me ppl here are playing serious.
Remember yall tournament Dec 3rd!!!
What games are being played though??
Josh u know and I know Marvel in general is a dirty game
I have a hard time believing that guide says you are top five on the East coast. I don’t remember what you said about casuals. Reiterate please.
