I will be here until the end of August. I am currently playing SSF4. I have played a ton of MVC3 with a friend but do not own a copy of the game.

Hay I’m moving up here form LA and I was wondering how was the FGC up here. I play Tekken,KOF,Guilty Gear,SSF4(not my fav),3s,MK, and Blaz Blue. What are the average # of people at tournaments and what are the main games.

Main games are T6, SSF4, MK9, MVC3. Did I miss anything?
We don’t have a large number of gamers. A session might have about 4 to 6 people unless we have people come in from out of town. We haven’t had a tourney in a while. Not sure what is in the works though. We have about 10 active gamers but most aren’t gaming at the same time. Most people are putting more time into school, work or both so the gaming scene here isn’t as big as it used to be. There are a bunch of casual gamers though. I’m sure you can find at lease 2 or 3 people to game with on any given night though. We also get together for UFC, NBA, NFL and boxing matches.
Is the state good as a whole I see that you have like 3 threds
And, strip clubs is another type of get together

How many tekken players do yall have out here in the state as a whole and is there a place where gamers meet like a pc cafe.
3 different core areas in the three major cities. Myrtle Beach also has a scene but they don’t post.
Used to have a very strong Tekken scene that as Jerome said, has fallen off due to most of us having to do rl training mode :lol:
With the summer coming there will be the usual surge until vacations start ending

I’m also reading that you guys also play Tekken. It’s not on the official roster for the tournament, but there will be 3 guaranteed NC players (including myself) in case people want to run some casuals.

Where is there in Myrtle Beach to play? Is there an arcade that serious players normally hit up? I am looking to get some MvC3 in with some new people while I am down here (leaving Tuesday, so I got till Monday to play)
