when performing a jump in do you have to jump in and hold up back to get the required charge need in the combo you are going to perform or can u jump in holding back have always wondered this and was never really sure.thank you:wgrin:
You can hold any back position. Up/Back, Back, or Down/Back.
Yes you can start charging in the air. Start your charge as soon as you leave the ground after a normal jump in. If you are crossing some1 up you can start your charge as soon as you’re directly above the opponent.
Hope thats what you were asking.
exactly what i was asking blaze thanks alot wasnt sure until now lol
just practice your ABCs: Always Be Charging!
lol tru tru, this also applies, in concept, to non charge characters. you can pre-cache a move, while other moves are finishing, and while jumping, if you are about to land, on pretty much any character. this technique is very helpful on characters such as hibiki in cvs2, doing the no fear feint. ( i think thats the one )
yes that is what they call buffering. For example to get out a 720 throw often a weak attack will be thrown out and during the attack whiffing they will execute the two joystick rotations and press the button after the whiffed attack to prevent the character to be in the air. Much easier than doing a standing 720 or 1 and 3/4 circles in 5/60ths? of a second.
One tell tale sign of a Zangief trying to 720 throw you is that they will try to repeatedly jump in try to 720 you.
