Pixie. she has a soul sword, creates portals, and can use magik. Think portals is a byproduct of magik. Wings come from her being a mutant.

I doubt this. If Capcom were ever to add more characters, Mega Man and Gene would probably be top of the list on the Capcom side and they’re both cards. If they’re not going to use characters that are cards, that severely cuts down their options.
I’m still in disbelief that this dude isn’t in the game.
Ms. Marvel (or as Captain Marvel, since she will be getting her own book with this title and has been added to the roster of the Avengers cartoon), Psylocke (another ninja with swords), Cyclops, Dazzler, Lizard (in the new Spidey movie), Thanos, Loki (alt could be female/Sif Loki).
Capcom… I don’t care as much so probably Mega Man, Cammy, I did like Ken and Charlie from MVC2 and the few times I played SSF4 I played with Ken. Always liked him better than Ryu.
Hayato. He was actually a pretty good addition.
Strider Hien. Oh no! Not another copyright fight!
Black Panther. I would have used him.
Proto man. Better than Zero.
Jedah. He was one of my favorite Darkstalker characters… then again, he’d look broken.
I remember when MvC2 dropped. I decided to main Hayato (having never played Star Gladiators) and he was soooo friggin’ fun - too bad he was a horrible character. Plasma Series combos were ridiculous, but the recovery from his normals and their general slow speed just wasn’t cutting it in a game like MvC2. I tried for a good while to get him to work, but I just couldn’t. Eventually I settled on Guile/Ironman/Cable.
You never know. Look what they did to poor Hsien-Ko.
But there must always be characters wanted in but not had. Speculating is one of the most fun pre-release things to do.

Well i would like cyclops, it’s stupid that he’s not in as he’s arguably the most relevant x-men character but the last three big marvel video game titles he’s been shirked so it’s not suprising.

Well, the Spider-man movie rights aren’t owned by Marvel, they are owned by Sony. It is still a missed marketing opportunity though, because I hear from IGN that there is going to be a new Lizard story arc in the Amazing Spider-man comics this summer.

Capcom delivered big time as far as I am concerned with this roster. I pretty much got all the characters that I wanted. Two characters that I really wanted in this game were Shuma-Gorath and MODOK, and to this day I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that I got lucky enough to get them BOTH. Tears of joy, Capcom. But not only did I get those 2, I also got like 20 other characters that I had always wanted in a Versus game and that are main material for me. In my opinion, the roster for this game is just sublime.
Still, there are some characters that I definitely would love to see in here. Namely, Amingo and Spiral. If I got those two, then this game’s roster would have ALL I need. But that would just be icing on the cake.
As far as newcomers to the series would go, I would be ecstatic for Man-Thing or Spar (from Breath of Fire). This game is still lacking a plant elemental, damnit!
Like you would say, put a skin on whatever, call it a day.
