Characters Templates -56k

Hello there Shoryuken members, Im here to see how’s the community is interested in these.

You all probably know what a template is and what it does, for sticks that is. Havent seen much character ones though.

Basically it will allow you to change the color of any given image/artwork for your taste, like this:

–>

Sample of course, complete would allow edit of the remaining parts.

They are editable PSDs, meaning you can later make other ones If you didnt like the old.

Im not empty handed tho, I have some done. Sadly, they are animu games and I know how shoryuken preffers manly games. But If would the community like or ask for these, I’ll put them here.
Here are some PSDs of said games:

Ragna, the shonen main character from animu game Blazblue
Ky, a copy of the ultra-original character Ken, from Guilty Gear

It is possible to do these with any image, but they need to be top quality(not so top tho), If you wish to actually use them in your fancy 200$ arcade stick or whenever…
3D stuff are harder to work somewhat, because requires precise vectoring and extra care, but since I’ll be the one doing it, yeah no mercy on me.

Well thats it folks, lets see If templating really is da bomb.
Feel free to ask anything.

Was wondering if this would work with MvC3 art. I saw this partial recolor of Trish but I have no idea if they used a template or just recolored it themselves.

btw are you Tong from the the dustloop forums?

so basically the image is cut up into different layers and the layers can be coloured differently? or is it a different process? when i used the process of cutting up the image into different layers i found it hard to get the recolour to work…i was able to do it but it was a pain. do your templates make it easy to just drop in the colours you want?

Here are some ken templates where i recoloured his gi, but it took a long time…

Yes, I also have a topic about this matter there.
Anyway, made Dante awhile ago. You can either color directly or make a template for future use. Making paths is necessary and is a long process depending on the imagem there’s no need to cut up them. Templates are provided, of course, in PSDs.

I dont have the skills to do these but we need to do them for the marvel vs capcom 3 art. After seeing phoenix wright’s alt colors it just has to be done.
