Oh get a room you two.
very few people do this but it is actually very smart. ive seen so many high level matches end with a comeback simply because the other guy did a quickstand and gave the momentum to the guy looking for it.
i dont know if im the only one who does this regularly but when i have a huge life lead and someone scores a knockdown on me, i know theyre expecting a highly paced situation. when you stay down, you tell yourself to calm down, access the situation, and watch out for those sneaky overheads xx super that does the most damage.
how many times have you seen a ken dash up overhead axe kick xx super? or chun UOH fierce xx super? the momentum shift should give you an idea to calm down and just block.
I sometimes fuck up the quick stand, so that’s how I mix up using it and not.
i haven’t played anyone intelligent or good at the game who quickstands every time…
the only time it almost always makes sense to quick tech is if they’re far enough away that rolling will get you up before they can really pressure you.
Also pretty cool when the game tells you you can’t. (Not after Supers/hard knockdown, but actually available times)
“(Fuck) -well there goes any momentum I might’ve been able to fight back with.”
Yeah, dash cross over your quickstand can and will happen. Plenty of those to go around too.
Anyone know weird situations that completely screw up wake up speed? For instance, after Twelve gets hit by corkscrew he gets up ridiculously fast, which makes it impossible to get rose oki. No idea why this happens.
