Character Specific Glitches/Exploits. Which ones stay and which ones go? ((Check OP))

The Akuma air fireball stuff should be taken out. The Kara armor stuff should stay. The rest I have no opinion about. I’d like to say I have a good reason, but thinking about it, it’s mostly because one looks cool and the other looks stupid.

I’m not sure why the Chun Ultra thing is here, yes I think it should be made consistent (and it’d be nice if the timing was consistent too, as opposed to having to remember to that you have to delay it for certain characters, but some others you can’t delays, and others again it doesn’t matter), but combos that only work on certain characters aren’t really “glitches”.

Most glitches should be removed. Only a few of them are ever useful, and should become a feature.

Sagat’s corner ultra glitch and Chun-Li’s ultra glitch need to be fixed.

This reset crosses up in the right corner and doesn’t in the left corner.

Dhalsim’s back roundhouse being used against crossups without Dhalsim turning around.

Bison’s standing RH countering sweeps and low pokes. same with Zangief’s lariat.

maybe not charcater specific but there are tones of little glitches that need fixing up.

i hit him out of his kick special he went flying and i did a kooky dance.

Those aren’t glitches, they’re just really good hitboxes.

Add shoto c.mk to that.

Considering that they’ve been quoted as to be rebuilding the entire game engine from line 1, I think they’ll probably sort out any unintended glitches.

I don’t doubt they’ve been doing that since even before SF4 on console was released.

I’ve experienced that Bison up in the air hit playing as Ryu. I couldn’t stop laughing and the guy I was playing against noticed it too (online PS3). It happened during my death animation so I was “stuck” in the air off the screen for about 3 seconds or however long the duration is.

Fuck that, the other EX Tatsu’s should be brought in line with it. Akuma’s has the same framedata, but not the same hitboxes or juggle properties. Ken’s just sucks unless they’re standing. Sak and Dan’s are OK, Gouken’s is garbage outside of a risky wakeup.

I’m sure they will be removed and tweaked to play properly, it’s not like they knew all of them and let it go… or did they? DUN DUN DUN…

Well it’s a glitch see, and glitches is a tech savvy way of saying mistake.

So if they’re shooting for an improved version I feel the “glitches” will be fixed.

Seems simple enough.

Only glitches that should be removed are those that hamper gameplay. Most of these are fun nuances that bring something interesting to the table.

Not necessarily, it means unintented. Unintended does not mean mistake, it can mean “emergent property”. Kara throwing, crossups and the properties of meaties were not intentionally put in, they emerged from the way the system worked. This doesn’t mean they should be taken out.
