Finally found this thread, anyways nice to see others that are contributing. I’m working on a Chun-Li pic even though she’s not due for a hot minute. This is pretty interesting to see how others interpret SF characters.
No one should be afraid to post in this thread, if anything CHAiNwhore is trying to help people not hurt…his crits are informative and will help anyone improve if they just receive them properly and work to get better. This is about having fun but you can also learn as well.
It doesn’t look like that on the paper so I went back and re-checked the scan.
It got stretched when I cropped it in PS.
I had the “perspective” box checked.

LOL Well, I made the corrections in my line depth, similar to your quick edit, but I also delimped my stick slightly. I can’t believe I did not even notice that. Good eye man. Thanks again. Geez, preparing to move out sucks up a lot of time. Worked 12 hour days last week too…and now I’m in school. dies Heh, glanced through the thread, and the art is great thus far. Keep at it. I hope I get some time to try to contribute at some point…I haven’t drawn Rose yet…may be an interesting challenge. Keep cranking out the quality work, all!

I hear ya Chain. I’m using photoshop for the color, and to add darkness to my lines. I don’t have illustrator unfortunately, so I can’t get my lines as tight as Shin’s.
I’m really trying though.
I adjusted the Ryu’s blacks so you can’t see the colors. I think I didn’t add enough layers to the blacks when I first scanned the image in.
Rose is almost up, and I’ll have 'Sim ready for tomorrow night.

hey hanzo, if you want good, fast, clean and easy lines, try to get ahold of photosop 5. The freeform pen tool in that version is really good. It won’t be as clean as vector because its still rasterized but its like using the pentool but instead you just draw the line, then it automatically cleans it up for you. version 6 up have the freeform pen tool as well but its really buggy and doesn’t produce anything nearly as smooth as photoshop5 's free form pen. Photoshop 5.5 have a good freeform pen too.

Apathy: I did some fiddling with it in photoshop to try and fix the stretching on the version I posted on the site.
Doc Sp0c: Very different look. I like the cold militaristic quality of it. Why such a small pic?
Hanzou: Hehe, well almost nobody can do art as tight and anal as Shinkirou. Keep going with what you’re doing though, I think you have a knack for it. I darkened the blacks of the Rolento for the site. Added your Ryu and added you to the artist list. I tend to only update the site every Sat when I’m adding the new gallery.
DFist: That’s interesting, I never knew that about old PS.

Awesome stuff, everyone. I’m gonna join in on this as soon as I can find some more time… Not a fan of Rose though, so I might not rush myself to do so. 
But then I wouldn’t mind retroactively doing the first couple of guys, so, er… whatever. You’ll notice when I start posting stuff, I guess.
