Meh. I noticed that you don’t say much. I’ve followed the thread from the beginning. Either that or I have read through from the beginning so now I think that I have been here you started, but I probably saw this week after now that I think about it…
Anyway, your overall aren’t bad. I personally have like the more “formal” ones that are more linear and clean and sketchy and messy. That’s why I have to say that of all the pictures that you have drawn, I like your Bison the least. You’re recent ones have been getting “better” in terms of personal taste, like your Chun-li, which is easily more disturbing that picture of Zangief that people were getting worked up over where he had a semi-erect cock because someone said that it looked she was masturbating…which I agree with, and your Birdie. Even your Guy and Cody are nice if you take them as caricatures like what 4neqs usually draws.
So, in other words, stop angsting, ho. At least you can draw and no only that, but relatively competently in various styles. Your main problem seems to be body proportions, but it’s not like I can even draw (I really have to finish reading Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain), so I obviously can’t help you with that either.
So…yeah. Stop with sad faces. Even though wanting pity is likely false knowing you, it doesn’t suit you (as far as I can tell).
Actually I wasn’t lol DFist, what I did to seperate my inks was use color selection than selected the white and deleted it. Putting the blacks on a seperate layer. Than I painted with a brush behind the inks.
I think I’d be able to fix my prob. if I had a scanner, but I’m coloring digital photos so I can get the images to be perfectly black and white. I’m sure it’s possible but I’m no ps whiz, just a little bit above nubly.:wonder:
oh ok. If you’re just doing brush then just set the lineart layer to multiply. Layer option>multiply. Should be in the bottom right layers tab. The only thing useful about deleting the whites is to color the lineart itself, in which you can just load the white via channel selection, click the dotted circle icon in channels tab.

Photon/4neqs: chicken from an oil drum cracks me up. High-octane marinade right there. Your proportions are getting better in the Cammy pic. Cranium should be bigger, leave about 1 eye width from edge of eye to edge of face.

another Sak pic I was working on in my sketchbook – it’s a lot more dynamic, but I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to finish her legs. Raw pencils, not cleaned up in any way.

Cool sak Rook, I really like the sketch version too. Maybe you can explain something to me. How do you and everybody else it seems to get darker more realistic colours. My colourz alwayz turn out to be too bright.
EDIT: I didn’t even know Sakura had a last name…or would that be here first?
^ for me it’s just a matter of avoiding the pure (& highly-saturated) colours. Or at least, not using them in large amounts, maybe just for accents here and there. I use a 60% opacity brush on a neutral bg, so that helps to keep colours less pure too.
I’m still kinda feeling my way around colour, so perhaps it isn’t the best way – anyone got any good advice?

Haha. Awesome. I can’t decide whether I like Poison’s “pirate line” or Dan’s face better.
I have to echo sentiments, however, that Hugo is problematic in the picture. I’ll go beyond the mere “his eyes chould be blacked out/closed” and say that he’s standing at a REALLY off-angle to me; either it’s him or it’s Poison & Dan that are off.
Other than that, I have to commend, especially since Hugo is the strangest human character in Street Fighter to draw IMO, even strangest than Sodom (who whose face you don’t have to worry about since he has the ghetto suit of armor). Good job. If you’re doing SF3 people…
When you get around to drawing Guy (who officially starts today; damn you early bastards…), sneak Ibuki in like with the Pocket Fighter ending.
Nice, though you’re right, the sketch looked like it would have turned out better. This is especially true since I can just barely make out an appropriately sized sweatdrop on her face. Pity.
Sakura is indeed one of the few Street Fighters to have a last name. Oddly, however, like the people in Rival Schools and unlike Honda (whose first name is…Edmund?), she goes by her first name. So Kusagano is indeed her last name.
Same thing with Karin Kanzuki, though I suspect like Ken Masters, especially since they know each other, that Karin is at least partially Caucasian (though Yurika seems full-Japanese and her hair is styled similarly to Karin…)
I’m going to try and join in with crappy pictures after the 21st of Dec. since I’ll be banished back home to where I have a scanner… Joy.

The Damned: Your’e right about Hugo being off centre. My Bad I screwed the angle up when going for something different.
The Blacked out eye thing is something I thought about alot but decided to leave the eyes in since I wanted to show Hugo looking at poison’s “Kill this creap” Gesture.
Drawing Hugo got me Pumped. Hopefully Ron will start up a Third Strike Challenge after this (After we do the New Challengers, Evil Ryu and Guile of course )
Um, anyone here entering the sfdevotion contest? I’m trying to ask a question at their forums, but it’s dead there as usual. I really need to know what the min/max file size our pictures have to be, as it’s very vague. The only size given is standard 8.5 x 11 paper…but does that mean the paper we have to work on? Or the actual scan we send in?
8.5 x 11 would be near 10 megs…so that can’t be right.
Someone help!
