omg where is R.mika? id pick the comic up if she showed up ;-;
I think she might appear in a side story along with Zangief. Which issue, she will be in, I forgot…
any chance of the final fight gang appearing?
I don’t think we’ll see much if any of that. But, Joe may have appeared in the thailand issue, and we can expect some of the characters who appear in Alpha.
Hey, where have you seen JOE??? i love all sf1 characters!!!
:wow: :wow: :wow:
R.Mika of SFA3 makes her first appearance in issue 13’s backstory, wrestling Zangeif.
So …
…who are we missing so far?
Sodom
Cody
Guy
Dhalsim
T. Hawk
and everyone from SF3 (minus the 2 boys)
am i missing anyone?
Street Fighter ONE characters
Dosen’t Geki make an apperance? In the flash back in the back of the comic. Gen kills that ninja who looks alot like him. Even has the same weapon. :encore:
Hope someone didn’t already say this…
I would like to hear more about the issue Joe appeared in. :wow:
I don’t think anyone metioned Retsu apperaing in issue 6 either…
and Lee was metioned in issue 10 when they were talking about Yun and yangs parents.
Since Mike is Balrog {boxer} {Damn Mike Tyson}
all that’s left is the average joe!
hmmm
they seem to like to put in people from other games huh? I know that Jun and Kayzua from Tekken show up in the Cammy Vs. DeeJay back story. And i swear when ken and eliza went to see balrog fight, it looks like he with fighting Steve Fox from Tekken 4.
Have the dolls actually done anything or were they just sort of there, Id like to see Juli and Juni play some role in the comic.
the dolls were mainly recognized in sf alpha as most o u probly know, and they were included when chun li’s father was murdered, so im sure they’l be shown again.
The Dolls (all twelve of them, not just Juni and Juli, of which only 10 show up in SFA3 and the nonJ&J ones for all of two seconds) play the role of the badguy named henchmen punching bags with background, slightly above the badguy nameless generic expendable backgroundless grunt but still obviously there to provide punching bags for the good guys because the big bosses are supposed to be saved for climactic fights. With the only other playable (although there aren’t even any other nonplayable) SF character who is officially a Shadaloo grunt (not bosses like Balrog, Vega, Bison, and Sagat) being Birdie, SOMEONE has to do it. And seeing Birdie get into fights is a lot more droll than seeing the Dolls do it.
They actually show up pretty often (as expected of the punching bag villain role), with the ironic exception of Juni and especially Juli, who have yet to do anything besides cameo here and there (typically amongst the other Dolls). My theory is that Juni and Juli haven’t done as much as the other Dolls because Udon’s waiting for a story opportunity to give them a moment when they can be more than just the ‘punching bag villains on the way to the main boss’, since them being playable means Udon would want something more climactic than that. According to this theory, they probably won’t actually get into a fight or two (and likely their only ones, but hopefully they’ll be big ones!) until the finale of the Dolls.
Yeah, it be better if they werent just grunts.
there’s stil alot of story left.
Maybe they’ll be a whole issue about them soon.
Especially T-Hawk and Noembelu.
Man, I seriously need to update this thread…
As for the Dolls:
All 12 have been in at some point or another, I’m only cataloguing significant appearances. If a random Doll appears, it’s really no different than SF Alpha 3 using multiple Juli & Juni sprites for them, IMO.
So far, we’ve seen:
Juni (On the plane Gulie & Chun Li take to Japan in Issue 3)
Satsuki (In issues 7 - 9)
Aprille (Issue 9)
Fervier (Issue 9)
Xiayu (The HK arc)
Yanyu (The HK arc)
Decapre (issue 10?)
I’m guessing Nomebelu will show up with T. Hawk (unless Capcom makes UDON use Juli, which is incorrect).
Juli will show up probably within the next story arc looking for Cammy (though Satsuki would make more sense the way they set it up).
Who knows/cares about the other 3… (Unless UDON finds some way to make them interesting, which they will)
Santamu has a monkey, at least. That has to count for something :karate:
…I really really can’t see how Enero or Marz would fit in anywhere, though. They have no canon storyline connections or mysterious implications that I can see (unlike the mysterious Decapre, Aprile with Rose, possible things you could BS up with Satsuki, or the most obvious of Noembelu with T. Hawk) and their ‘specialties’ are things that don’t have much purpose within the Street Fighter comic and it’s style in general (Heck, Marz’s specialty has already been more than done to death for the type of comic the Street Fighter comic is by Ginzu of Delta Red). Their specialties can’t even be used for filler gimp generic gun fight scenes like they did with Fevrier vs Delta Red (Fevrier’s specialty also does not really fit in the Street Fighter comic but she can at least job to the good guys in gun fights like any good punching bag villain would do). All they can do is generic gun assassin stuff (like when Enero shot Cammy with the tranquilizer) but ANY Doll (or hell, any generic nameless henchman that gets decapitated by Xiayu in one scene yet is so generic and nameless that his pallete double can return in the next) can do THAT.
Heh, Satsuki WOULD make more sense than Juli the way they set things up now that you mention it. Now that I think about it, Juli probably should have been substituted in Satsuki’s place so that there could be more in-depth Juli Cammy connections later on as deserving of a playable character, as opposed to the relationship being developed between Cammy and “Random NonPlayable Doll Number Five” (I like Satsuki but… she isn’t one of the playable Dolls and yet she now has established significantly more of a role in the comic with more storyline depth potential than the equally backgroundless-but-at-least-playable Juli). But it’s too late for that so now all the possible (if Udon decides to go with it) potential depth and emotional drama of Juli’s plot of hunting down her former comrade would fit in much more with Satsuki doing it thanks to her now-established relationship (friendship even, really…) with Delta Red Cammy. Like how her happy naive trusting salute to Cammy as she left in that helicopter was just cute and kinda sad at the same time, but yet someday she’ll have to hunt her friend down instead (or… in theory that’s how it’d go with Juli instead of Satsuki, but having Satsuki be the one to hunt Cammy down if only one Doll gets to do it would REALLY propel her above the actual playable Doll in terms of comic role).
It could work this way too, Juli and Satsuki do work together so perhaps Satsuki could place the seed of doubt in Juli’s mind as she goes after Cammy.
Yeah , Satsuki is my favorite doll. It would be cool if things worked out as Tiamat said.
I think the problem with that is that it would require having some specific Doll-only scenes, which I’d be surprised if the comic had room to do (IE, with characters who aren’t major characters like Guile and such, they REALLY have to take whatever development they can get on the fly because odds are pretty good that it’ll be hard for a business company to justify giving them page time devoted completely to just them as something beyond punching bag villains, which is why Satsuki’s so far ahead of Juli now because it might be hard to find new space/pages for Juli). …it’d be nice if they could get it, though, although that’d be quite a few lengths and pages gone just to give Juli the spot instead of Satsuki (or to let Juli share the spot, in which case Satsuki would still be the lead role in that aspect of the story).
