While sporadic, GGX is still being played to this day. It definitely holds up a lot better than BB.

Main site updated to mention an AOU exhibition or so.
Fuck that the first BB game is fundamentally fucked up. I heard shit improved, but only after some fundamental changes.
care to give some examples?
it wasnt exactly fundamentally, but more like concepts that were put on practice poorly
basically the guard libra and the barrier burst
barrier burst giving you the penalty of taking double damage, making them very predicatable since only the 3 top tiers could burst outside the end of the round
the guard libra was a mechanic that give advantage to those 3 chars aswell, specially rachel who could rush you and break your guard in one combo and start another to take your life, not every char was able to turn around the table once they were rushed
basically the game was those who could abuse the systems, thos who could survive some how, and those couldnt do anything to survive
damn, at this rate the hype for the game would die
Honestly i find this a wise move, fighting game scene is just too hard to enter right now.
I think this game’s just gonna have to campaign hard in the summer to get any numbers, which is fine…but yeah as fun as the game looks, I don’t think it’d get any of the attention it’d deserve if it came out anytime before summer.
Hell it’s a toss up if it’ll even get it by then.
Game looks pretty dope so far, i’m willing to give it a whirl
Well, for this game’s sake, I’m hoping that ASW will market this game in a way that will be to its benefit. Hype it up decently, so that people will at least be aware of it.
I just worry about how they’d market it. Chaos Code from what I’ve seen doesn’t really bring anything new to the table, but FKDigital seems to have compiled elements of almost every 2D fighter ever into one game. It’s kinda like the Darksiders of fighters. How you sell that? I dunno…
To me, the best way would be to possibly market this as a sort “current-era answer” to Gouketsuji/Power Instinct. After all, the Gouketsuji series, throughout its history, has never been much a trend-setter as far fighting game mechanics go, and has done more to just sample what others were doing. Instead, the series found appeal because its characters were so quirky. If it weren’t for the likes of memorable characters like Kung fu twin grannies, who knows if PI would have been a blip on the radar, even back in the quite competitive era for fighters that was the early-to-mid 90s?
So, I’m thinking, what’s stopping CC from being marketed similarly now? Focus on presenting the appeal of the “Kung fu chef” and the “insane cosplayer”, all the while showing off a solid and fun fighting game. I’m not saying that will be the means that will pave the way for this game being an instant success, but it would be something that might help at least make it a blip on the radar, which then could be spread by word of mouth.

sniffs I want this game…soo bad…:crybaby:
I’m looking forward to this fighter more than anything else announced.
If the words on Hikaru’s voice actor’s blog are to believed, the game will (FINALLY!) go live this summer.
You and me both…I have felt this way for nearly two years now!
BTW, Kagari’s “Hi Ougi ? Ura Rasen” Destruction Chaos certainly lived up to my expectations. The only way to make it more impressive would be for her to finish with a .
