Changing the song order on my iPod

I have a quick question regarding iPods. I hate to ask here but Apple.com is no help so I figured I’d come to the next best place.

I have all my music on my iPod, most of it is in the correct order, but some CD’s are not. For example, Conference of the Birds, by Om is a CD with just two songs, At Giza and Flight of the Eagle. In my iTunes library and the iPod music section it’s listed in that order, which is correct, but upon unplugging the iPod and browsing the library the songs are reversed. Any idea how I might be able to fix this?

make sure it is sorted the way you want it when you plug it in.

I’ve had this problem before, where 13 out of 14 of my songs are in order, and then one random song was at the bottom of my list. Check every song’s information in iTunes. Check the categories “Artist” AND “Album Artist.” Both of these have to be the same in order for any kind of proper organization to happen.

If this doesn’t fix it, then maybe a factory reset/reinstall iTunes?
