which wires the MAS wires looks small enough to work with the qd’s
i got some 18 gauge wire and tried to twist them and make the daisy chain, but they wouldnt fit in the 18 gauge insulated quick disconnect afterwards. shits getting aggravting so im gonna try and solder this stuff.
also, radio shack sells .187 female disconnects but its like 10 in a pack and its grouped with .250 female quick disconnects. .so im really only getting 5. also, the quick disconnetcs were already crimped so im sure that was part of the problem. id rather just solder the shit and forget about the quick disconnects.
that 18 gauge wire seems really thick for those .187 quick disconnects. am i getting the right type of wire? the wire was called Hook-Up Wire 18 gauge from radio shack and the color of it is red. Stranded 80C 1/64 PVC rated 300 volts and type is AWM
well, after getting fed up with quick disconnects, i decided to try soldering for the first time. i had success and heres a pic of my shitty solder job.

im still interested in the quick disconnects and everything though. i may try it some other time. soldering is pretty fun and i hope to get better at it. thanks for all yall help.
soldering is easy imo, especialy soldering things for the joystick. installing a modchip on my ps2 was a billion times harder than the solder work on the sticks i made. but yea, just practice and youll get the hang of it. btw, 18 gauge is kinda too thick in my opinion but itll work just fine.
yea, i wouldnt mind trying a modchip and see how i do
