…Wait. Yeah it is…When I think about cr.hp I think about the part that isnt cancelable…Cancelable c.hp overhead would be stupid good/broke.

I think st. roundhouse would be an interesting overhead, more range than most overheads, but not usable at point-blank, and they could even slow it down a little. It also already looks like one.

We will see the new changes in the next 2 days. Maybe we will see improvements

Man, the new changes sound hella far-reaching. They’ve really mixed up Ryu’s game with 70 dmg Hadoukens and non-FADCable HP SRK. I would not be surprised if we see some big changes for Dee Jay tomorrow. Fingers crossed for:

  1. Airborne LK Sobat
  2. More blockstun on LK Sobat.
  3. 3 frame crouching lp or 4 frame crouching short.
  4. More hitstun on knee shot, to make knee shot > cl. mk possible?! That would be awesome thanks.

The way it’s looking though, it seems like they want to increase risk-reward ratios. This means that we’re unlikely to see a safer LK sobat as much as we are a more damaging one. Very few of the changes in the Beta blog made people safer. It’s a pity that’s exactly what DJ needs.

Even if it was just special cancelable I can’t really see it being a huge amount of use. I don’t use that button at all.

Yeah that’s exactly what i was thinking. Seriously what is Capcom smoking? Almost every other chracter has has significant frame data changes and over all game play property changes besides Cammy and DeeJay. Sure we got the super to U1 change last time but to be honest with all the other changes that are going on i don’t think that’s really a significant buff that’s going to help out in some of our toughest matches.

Why they don’t improve his normals ? Sobat LK and EX Safe for example, i think it’s not too much.

Why would they add a buff to the most useless button in the entire Deejay arsenal?

When does Deejay ever NEED to stand up a character? What move does he have that wiffs if the opponent is crouching? What set up would anybody even use to integrate cl. HK?

Speaking of the close shk, did you know that in corner if someone jumps andnyou get the counter hit, you can hit them again with another st hk… The dmg sucks tho. I haven’t been able to get the slide follow up though :-/

slide can cause a juggle, but it can’t juggle unless the person is in a free juggle state.

counterhit isn’t necessary. if you catch them in the air with the cl roundhouse then they will be in a juggle state

Lol the only move that requires you to be standing in Dee Jay’s arsenal is… jacknife? So now we have that to look forward to? I genuinely don’t understand. It feels like trolling, especially since they came up with this buff AFTER loketests. So I’m picturing devs getting feedback from some eager Dee Jay experimenters:

“Yah it was totally cool like the super into ultra was badass like so many kicks, but then I was like using this other kick right up IN HIS FACE, you know whaddimean? And it was OK I guess, but it didn’t force him to stand, and I wanted to do another super after it!”

“…Sounds reasonable.”

I just… it makes no sense. Anyways, we’re still getting buffs. Gotta keep telling myself that.
