CFE has a lot of interesting things in it

I come here just to hear what Time_Stop will say next sometimes. Some really make me laugh. Hard. Good stuff too as well.

Hate in a forum makes it grow.

New fighting games will keep coming out, and will keep improving over time. It’s the simple process of trial and error. Capcom can choose to sit and wait, or it can come in with a new SF fighter now, with a new spin on it before that ‘new idea’ gets used somewhere else.
i.e. Capcom has done enough waiting and should now be thinking of releasing a new SF game using all the knowledge they have gathered on what type of fighters people want. It’s really not that difficult to understand the logic.

But it leaves a big gap in Capcoms fighter line-up. If they put more time into a specific fighter and improves it over time, Capcom would reap the rewards because Capcom is known to be the company that practically invented fighting games. A good fighting game from them would be high on any ones wish list.

Clearly you don’t go to many arcade centres. During my summer travelling the world, I went to arcades all over. One reoccurring theme I noticed was that most older games were Capcom machienes (largely Street Fighter).

It is where a lot of todays fighter fans go to play. You can’t judge ST greatness by its latest sales figures as no one buys it any more so you have to use these sort of measures. Oh, and if you think 2D games are dead, then why are they still being released? I also included a little extract from an interview by Capcom

Where will Capcom go from here? Now that you’ve dipped your big toe in the pool of 3-D, will you try to branch off of that, or stick to the Capcom’s traditional 2-D platform?

Capcom: Well, I’m really not sure about that one. Capcom realized that they do 2-D, so most of what they do will probably consist of what they’re most familiar and best at. So I don’t think that Capcom of Japan is going to simply drop the idea of 2-D and settle in with 3-D, because we’ve found that most of our gamers prefer our 2-D stuff to our 3-D. Because there’s nothing wrong with 2-D

The official response from Capcom above contradicts a lot of what youve been saying TAS. Guess youre the one thats wrong
