Well I played this at svgl and every 1 liked it, Im going to pick it up today as well. This game IS tourney worthy though. As long as people give it a chance.

As for people who want input on why the game is bad, just read the other threads. For me, the main gripes are:
- It’s a sloppy game in ALL regards (how sloppy? sometimes X button is confirm… other times the O button)
- Even though the characters are balanced against each other, they still weren’t built to fight each other. The different game systems just don’t click or make for interesting matches.
- Everything’s old. So why would I want to play a nonsense SF vs DS match when I can play an old game with SF vs SF where the characters were actually designed for fighting each other?
Can’t the same be said of MvC2 in regards to them not being built to fight each other? I don’t think servbot was ever made to handle a big fuckin robot stomping on his head.
i think its an ok game, its made sloppy but of course this game game out in less than a year so that is to be expected.
its kinda fun to mess around with, trying to get some good Rose V-Combo setups (so far only found 1 useful one) and toying with the juggle system.
the red earth characters are cool but most of them have no depth save for Kenji. leo is one of the most basic characters i have ever used (hop in w/ RH,FW,qcf x2 P, is his only super cancellable combo)
sf2 characters are okay but they play like cvs2 incarnations but w/ sf2 restrictions.
ingrid plays like a melty blood character w/out all those crazy comboes.
alpha players are real nice as we got A2 rose (if youre A2 old school youll know what im talking about, yes its back) and karin. sakura is okay but they automatically extend the hurricane kick because i guess they felt the link from cvs2 was too broken (being able to repeat a combo is NOT good balance wise, but its fun :))
overall it wasnt really a disappointment because at the time there was tekken 5 and CFE and i was already for tekken 5 and knew CFE was gonna be another slap-them-together-and-go fighting game. just dont go expecting too much and youll have more fun with it.
This game… has obvious problems… this game… is also really wacked out… still… it’s worth playing… once people get into it or better at it they’ll shut up… i mean hey… everyone bashed 3S when it first came out… now that everyones playing it… it seems most people like it all of a sudden… we’ll have to wait and see.

Well, I\ve only watched som tourney vids, but the music is dope. Long time since we had any decent music in any fighter.
From my brief playing of it today after buying it this is IMO one of the better fighters to come out in a long time, time will tell if it stays that way though. I think most people who say this game is garbage should really get their collective head out of their collective ass and stop being graphics whores, and should also stop being obsessed with Capcom being lazy, I don’t think there has been a complaint that arent related to those 2 things that’s actually legit. Yeah Capcom’s lazy, you think they weren’t being lazy with Marvel and CvS2? I mean for Christ’s sake, look at SF2, they remade the same game for half a decade because they didn’t want to actually work on a new SF engine. Most of you prejudged the game before anyone played it, and that really sucks ass.
I think this game is tournament worthy, at least for now, it would be a crime for this game to never get a fair shot when one of the tournament frontrunners right now is CvS2:(

I think I got my hopes up for nothing spectacular. I only played the PS2 version for an hour and a half today but it was like the worst thing I have been subjected to in a long time. Man, what is this game trying to achieve? I know people say aesthetics aren’t the most important element of the game but geez…
The sprites are all grainy. Even the 3S characters.
The music will make your ears bleed.
The stages, OMG. You’ll just have to look at them yourself. So bad.
There are only 3 modes of gameplay.
Character endings? There’s no dialogue or anything. Just comics that attempt to explain a story.
The character win quotes are pathetic (Karin’s anyway).
And if that isn’t the worst:
