Cerebella Thread: Other Grapplers Wish They Could Be This Good

wow, I’m loving the Cerebella/Valentine synergy. Dem grabs. Came up with a style combo using stagger xx Valentine Mortuary Drop assist. You can even pop em with a Devil Horns as they’re being grabbed by Valentine.

Midscreen, just move way back and Valentine will bounce the opponent right into your lap. Corner is easy, you don’t even have to move. Then easily OTG with c.MK, c.HP or c.LK, c.MK, or whatever you want.

So who wants a corner combo that does 9000 damage? (1v1 tested)

Seriously, why is she a god in the corner? This apparently works on everyone with a small modification, doing 100 more and even easier on Double.

couldnt they mash out of the stagger before the jumping HK hits though? has anybody been able to test that out at all?

I’ll try to see if, well, there’s something that does around the same damage with less inputs before I really commit.

i heard you can reduce the stagger from 60 frames to 45 by mashing, but havent been able to try this out myself.

no, but you could use it for an alpha counter

I just won a match. It was 1v3, I had Cerebella, and I anticipated an assist (Painwheels crouching something, the spinny-hits-a-lot-of-times move) so I used her level three, but I guess he didn’t wait to see if it connected cause he went straight into a c.lk c.mk with Filia. The Super ate up all of their attacks, and shot out the Diamond, instantly killing the both of them and winning me the match, and then I heard some dude laughing, presumably at my opponent. What was that? Why was there a guy laughing? It was funny, yeah, but why was there laughter?

addendum to this combo:
lighter characters sometimes fly out of the last c.hp too fast to get the AA grab, so replace the c.hp with an s.hp. stumbled on this by accident and it works like a charm.

That is the laugh of John D. Rockefeller aka. Dr. Sub Zero taken from one of the Family Fun Arcade recordings I believe. Only happens when you win with a happy birthday. It’s just there because it can be, not to mention his laugh is infectious.

bad news, that combo i posted doesn’t work on cerebella, double, or parasoul. they just fall too fast. gonna try to work out a variant

Just made an interesting discovery, here are the damages of cere’s command grab as on point and as an assist:
Diamond drop: 2300
Merry-Go-Rilla: 2300
Diamond Drop(assist): 2300
Merry-Go-Rilla(assist): 1265
I’m not sure if it was intended to be like this.
Also Diamond drop instantly scales the combo to maximum while MGR doesn’t (but still scales pretty harshly) as much.
