Cerberus: Unleash the hellhound in your arcade stick

is it up on the store yet or can i email you for a few?

Itā€™ll be $40 even + shipping.

Not yet, I donā€™t want to do any pre-orders since it really wouldnā€™t do anything except add pressure. Theyā€™re supposed to be in my hands early next week, once Iā€™ve tested a couple to my liking Iā€™ll put the ability to order up on the store. After that Iā€™ll work to get the rest finished/tested and start shipping end of the week.

Yeah thatā€™s the scariest part for some, but the good news is itā€™s really hard to screw up the cutting because Iā€™m telling the user to leave about 6" attached to the 360 PCB. Tons of room for error.

Thatā€™s good to hear. Maybe Iā€™ll look into buying this sometime, then.

Sweet. Iā€™ll be sure to demonstrate how to properly do an ā€œadvancedā€ install once I get my boards/evo stick in.

not released on the site yet?

Sorry, got through programming over half of them last night and will be finishing the assembly and testing tonightā€¦ well starting to.

Iā€™ll get order info on the site in a bit here. I need to make a picture with some labeling on it. The fabrication house used my old files which had silk screen that was not complete. Luckily nothing electrically changed, only aesthetics.

Whatā€™s missing:
Numbering for the headers positions 1-6
Labels for the incoming and outgoing USB connection

Also, the purple came out more as a maroonā€™ish. Not terribly psyched about it.

did you use http://oshpark.com/
purple is a tough color for PCBs, yellow looks like crap too, but green is boring

Discounted beta-test group?

Hmmā€¦ Let me think on this one a bit, may have to go a little different route with this first batch.

The test fixture I have for the no-connector version is just silly, 5 PCBs stacked when itā€™s complete.

At any rate, static bags come tomorrow so Iā€™ll be starting to finish assembly and testing.

Hey Phreakazoid,

Iā€™m interested in purchasing the cerberus for my fight stick pro.

When will the cerberus be available for purchase?
What is the eta and cost for shipping to Canada?

Thanks

actually it wont cover the white PCB when your viewing the PCB through the case your looking at the bottom of it. The Fightstick Proā€™s PCBā€™s are mounted differently than your normal TE

Itā€™s available now on my website, just put it up last night.

For Canada, shipping is $13, it usually takes 2 weeks to get there since Canada Mail takes forever. Iā€™ll likely start shipping any new orders on Friday.

I just realized that USPS upped flat rate pricing like crazy for international orders. Jebus.

Great, I just completed my order.

Iā€™m really looking forward to this,

Thanks

Can you ship it faster than flat rate to canada? I kinda want a few fast. I have to email for the no solder units right?

Sent from my HTC Panache using Tapatalk 2

Correct. There is faster shipping but itā€™ll be something like express which would be ~27$ USD for a small lightweight package. 3-5 business days according to USPS.

email sent just now~

so. I have a MC Soul Calibur V edition TE-S, and have been wondering which would be my better option for dual modding, the TEKitty, or this one. Let me see if I have my facts straight.

TE-Kitty: Compatible with retro consoles, slightly more difficult to install.
Cerberus: Only works with PS3/PC/360, and the installation involves less messing with the usb wire. $10 cheaper.

Am I mistaken in anything?

edit: I have no soldering experience whatsoever, and am terrified of breaking this thing.

Both the Kitty and Cerberus require you to cut and strip the USB. The difference in install is you have a lot more ribbon cables to play around with on the Kitty.

Looking at grabbing one of these soonā€¦ I do have a Teasy strike that kept losing its firmware, and I kept having to reflash (I recall sending it back to you at one point). I got bored of having the pcb sitting around here after one of the signals stopped working on it and dug around the pcb some, I take it this opts me out of any replacement/discount :stuck_out_tongue:

I recall you mentioning switching from the Dualstrike firmware to your own, correct? This should iron out all of the unfortunate issues that we had with the Teasystrike, right?

Also, do you have any plans to make the usb device name user editable, ala the Kitty?
