I second this by sooo much. When gamme was supposed to go down and people were looking to come to fl and play people that they have never played before, I was trying to get people from the south east/south to play for some serious cash to display the talent we have down here.
Gamme fell through and now that we have another tourney with big payouts to get others to travel here we should try to take advantage of it. Maybe not J-wong, but someone that will make for a better match. Like if Chunksta or Neo or Toan or anyone who still plays Marvel 2 and not many other (new) games like Mixup, were coming it would be a whole lot more interesting, but with ssf4 taking up sooo much of J-wongs time, I do not see how J-wong even matters much in that game now. There are just players that are more into MvC2 and would make for a much better match.
I know toan wanted to play him for like shit 1 and 1/2 years or so. Get at Airbrushking and see if we can make something pop.
Shit yahll should try to setup all kinds of FL’s best against the world/pros (not counting flash since he actually travels to many tourneys around the country) but I know there are people who would love to get on the main stage against some great pros.
Try to make it happen, because it would be hype…
On a side note will MK9 be 2v2 or 1v1. I would be willing to run a 2v2 side tourney for the game since it seems like that would be mad fun in any 2v2 3v3 fighter(having all the characters controlled by different humans) and shit if the top 4/8 were good enough with tag combos and the such you could even put it on stream.

With Mk9 it’s a good question, nobody’s sure how 2v2 mode will play out so who knows, Gotta wait til it’s out first to make a decision.
Ok, all I was saying was that games that do not even have a 2 people on 2 people mode still have teams. Shit brawl would be the only game on your list of games that would have teams as 2 people on 2 people.
MK9 might flop all the way around but it is still on the list… I was more of saying have both there, like brawl, teams and singles… What harm could it do? Besides make the game a whole lot more intersting…

this a 18+ place? I know some hotels it’s required to be 21+ to book a reservation…
Edit: Also since there’s no spectator badges that means if my friend who travels with me isn’t playing but wants to walk with me inside the area he would have to buy a badge?
That’s an excellent question that I didn’t know so I called the hotel just now and Yes You can be at least 18 to book your own room there :).
Also I’m really still on the fence about a Spectator thing cause I’d like to have everyone buy a badge to keep it simple so I will make a final decision by next week. Most likely I’m leaning towards having a Spectator Badge for 25 for the whole weekend So they won’t have to buy an early bird badge or anything. When I decide I’ll be sure to post it here and on Community Effort Orlando Gaming Tournaments right away.
Also the deadline for early Bird Reg ends Feb 28th, then it goes up 5 bucks to 30 dollars for your Badge. But the Spectator badge will remain the same 25 which gives them access to all the casuals setups and such, they just won’t be allowed to enter any Official tournaments.
Sweet that’s perfect! Since I’m trying to find 2-3 people to split the room with and some of the people I know are kinda 50/50 about being able to take the time off so that’d be awesome if it stayed $25 so incase I got a last minute person that wanted to come. Can’t wait to go!
Do you know how many rooms already been reserved? I just took time off from work but didn’t know if it was fully booked or when the estimated time was that it was probably gonna be booked.
When it comes to fighting game tournaments people typically wait until the month or 2 before to start booking and making their arrangements. There’s still plenty of rooms available but I am starting to get a bit registrations probably cause of the early bird deadline in 2 weeks.
Is there any chance for 3s to be on cab rather than PS2? If you’re really trying to run a high-rollers tournament it would be great to run it on the best version available.
