This is awesome, I’m glad someone from SRK is helping take control of these events on here.
Like it was posted, I reserved the venue for us. We have 10 days to raise to 30% deposit (~500 dollars), then until 3 days before the tournament to raise the total venue fee (2k). The lady who handles rentals at the fairground is going to give me a call on Monday so we can figure out exact prices and procedure. My last event was at a Fairgrounds and the contract looks very similar so I know what to expect mostly.
The venue is plenty spacious. I will decide on a proper amount of tables and chairs and such when I speak with the fairgrounds on Monday
We plan on the door fee being $20, with $5 off if you bring a full setup.
I will tell my community to bring any equipment they have for any games you all are planning on running, just to help out.

Will you guys have that in the new tournament? That’s pretty much the major thing hinging on whether I should make due with this tournament (which I appreciate the hard work to put together on such short notice btw) or try and save for Devastation or something
oh yeah, if i go, I will likely be able to offer a 360 and copies of VF5, SC4, or SSF4

Hey guys just a quick run through to answer some of your questions.
First I just want to keep everyone updated as much as I can as you can ask anyone whenever I host events I always answer everyone’s questions right away since I’m always on the boards.
Thank you guys so much for the support already so I know I’m not in this alone on the Fighting game Side of things.
To be clear, I don’t plan on going overboard with having tournaments for every game known to man.
My personal Focus will be on these games so I’m sorry if anyone feels offended.Here’s a rundown on what I’m planning as for times and such which will be final Once I talk to Plank about the times we have the venue open for.
Also the Entries for these will be 10 bucks each(Teams will be only 5 PER person so 15 total per team)
Super Street Fighter 4 Singles on Saturday Starting at 1(I always start my tourneys within 30 minutes of said time)
Super Teams 3v3 on Sunday
TvC on Sunday(Unless it’s not a full day then I will have it on Saturday and leave it to the TvC players to keep up with brackets)
Smash of course is gonna be handled by Plank and HungryBox
HDR on Xbox 360 Most likely on Saturday as well
Unfortunately I don’t think we will have time to Run Tekken 6 or other 3d Games.
However with the amount of space it looks like we’ll have I can offer this.
A Bring your Own Console Area.
If somehow there is a big enough following for other games such as old school Cvs2, 3s among others you can bring your Own Setup and if you happen to get others that want a tournament on the same day, I’ll sanction it and print our brackets for your entrants and run the games. We’d make the entry for such games 5 bucks.
As for 3d games such as SC, T6 and so forth I can’t promise any big turnouts for such games as I’m not honestly following that community anymore. If there’s enough of a pull for T6 then I’ll reconsider and advertise it as a main game as long as someone else can handle Brackets for it.
So hopefully by Next week(Like Wednesday the latest) I can post a pretty on point schedule of times for each game.
Also for the people offering to Bring Cabs and such. That is up to you. I can’t offer any payments or anything to bring certain things so this again is an Effort by the community as a whole to come together and have an awesome day.

I love Tekken 6 I added you to xbox live Jebailey in regards to be the one to run the T6 tourney. It has a huge following. I watch any all T6 stream I can. Anyways the problem would be stations I only got one set up for Tekken 6. Plus I got other questions holla on live asap please.

I’ll volunteer to help run this. SC and VF4 communities are relatively small so I think that may be manageable if space permits. I’ll talk to you about running those personally if I can procure setups specifically for them. Tekken has a much larger base so unfortunately, i don’t think i can volunteer to fit that in even if we get more setups. If VF and SC are a no go, I’ll run TvC with you. I can help with just about anything so let me know. Hit me up on the phone.
FlameIce after hosting to BB tournaments in the last year with very minimal turnouts I’m gonna have to decline to making it an official game.
If people are willing to help and get PS3 Setups I will add Tekken 6 to the Official List of games.
Also I would be all for having SC4 and VF4 and BB mini tourneys if people want to volunteer their time to run those games or bring them. We’re gonna have a lot of space so we need to do as much as we can without going overboard.

16 People or less at each one. I don’t know anyone in Orlando anymore that places BB CS or CT. But if you get a following and bring setups for it, then I’ll allow it.
