LMAO! Anyway, we went to IKEA, Fry’s Electronics, in Austin/Round Rock today. Spare of the moment type of thing. Got me a nice dual-monitor stand that I needed. I feel like I’m at a command center when I’m behind my desk now!

In case you guys don’t read the latest ‘news’ on the first page/first post, Hastings has yet to hit me back regarding the tourney that was scheduled for next weekend. So the eff with them and will go with Plan B: having it hosted at Game FX. I’ll just talk to Russ and give him the details. This will of course push back the date (unfortunately) so that we can have a decent size tourney. With as much business they get, having a Best Buy next door, will surely help. Game FX has sponsors or can get sponsors too, so that is a good thing. Plus they are good on advertising things such as this.

Demarcus: What’s up with the ‘posters/flyers’ ? Leave out the name of the venue/establishment. Remember, KISS (keep it short, and simple) Title of Tournament, names of the games (Tekken 6 and SFIV), date (inconclusive), and thats pretty much it.
You can add a link to the bottom for ‘further information’ < like tear away links for them to ‘register’. It’ll be an srk url (posted in tournaments/events discussion section) Central Texas, Killeen - The Ultimate Street Fighter [presented by K-Town Brawlers]

In the thread, details will be given, like entree fee, pot for 1st-3rd, address for the location for people coming from Austin and other areas, because they will come. Trust me, Killeen isn’t as small as you think and there are things to do here… a few things, but none the less (lots of restaurants and such)

Oh! idea Winner gets a paid-reserved copy of SSFIV! <if Game FX wants to chip in… for the Tekken 6 Champ… Best Buy gift card or Game FX store credit. I’m just brainstorming here. Not like Namco is coming out with a Super Tekken 6 bloodlines or anything like that.

More importantly… the next Ranbat! Jan 16, my place. Hope people been practicing! This is on a SATURDAY, 5:30pm So mostly every one can come. I open, but will be off in time. Please note, time subject to change due to schedule change… like last time, but we have our SGA back and the rest of the staff and I won’t have to stay any longer than what I was scheduled.

momo. i have been experamenting with lili and found a slightly more damaging combo than you posted awhile back. its d/f 3+4,crouching 2, rising 2,12,f+1+2(bounce), dash up for d/f 1, 323.
it does slightly more than your combo and the first part before the bounce is muscle memory from t5 lol. mostlikely i wont do the d/f1 in a match as it is harder to hit lol. but i did find a way to incorporate d+12 hold b,12, into a few combos. it takes the place of some of the 312 bouncing, this way i’d get more hits in before the bounce…
now that ive blabbed about a char ya dont really use im gonna go eff myself. lol

I should get my feet wet with Tekken and Blaz (even though i can’t stand neither) but i may have tu try T6 tu see if its worth taking serious or juss fool for fun. Mylast character i usually used was Steve and Asuka… i hope they didnt tweak them tuu much. As fer Blaz its a hit or miss because i could never get intu it from the jump…BTW when is the Austin Tour, this week?

Well, Fear, if you ever do decide you want to seriously get into Blaz, I’d say wait until Continuum Shift hits consoles. As much as I love the game, Calamity Trigger is trash. Continuum Shift is getting rid of/tweaked a lot of what made Calamity Trigger retarded: option select throws, input buffer, losing barrier after you burst, taking 50% damage after bursting, burst being stupid easy to punish(in the higher levels of play), the negative penalty rate, and no one being stupid broken. And now, aside from Rachel (possibly Noel, hard to tell at this point), everyone is usable, and no one has stupid bad match ups like Tager v Carl/Arakune/V-13/Rachel or Hakumen v Arakune/V-13/Rachel in CT.

Now, Street Fighter stuff. I finally got my game back, and I found something pretty cool with Akuma. This is probably common knowledge by now, but if you have them directly in the corner, you can jump straight up and do either mk or hk tatsu. HK will crossup, MK won’t, and the two look exactly the same (to me anyway).

The only character i used in Blaz sadly was Noel but then again i never bothered tu keep tha game long enough tu try other characters…mainly cuz of i thought the game woould play like the GG series but ill give the sequel (er remake?) a try

– as for street ifighter 4, im trying to learn other characters outside of blanka i saw my brother using Balrog alot so i kinda trying between him and dare i say…(gulp) C. Viper (>_<) but im leaning towards balrog alot more…but i also would like tu take on a complex character rather than simple characters like shotos…seeing a few Rufus makes me wanna test him out along with probably Gen but i dunno my main focus now is jus Balrog and Viper…but ias of lately i havent touched street fighter last time i played was at laws just for kicks cuz i was using random people…and Seth…i had a kickass time using Seth…i think everybody did actually lol…

Lol I think he means simple by combo ready. Shotos are combo friendly esspecially ryu and akuma. Wanna pick up a complex shoto try Dan or sakura. Hell I might say goken but hell you can ultra from a throw lol

i wasnt referring shotos in a negative way i just see them simple tu use as compared people who really dont have the basic shoryuken cancel ultra or sumthing in that nature. im more on the line of using complex characters such as Rufus, Abel, Gen, fei, so on and so forth. Most shotos haves the same variety of combos just done slightly different than the other. So when i say Shotos being simple people tu use i mean it as in easy tu use…im juss seeing it in my pov as im sure you and many others have different views on it…so please don’t take it as a negative way when i say that most of the shotos are simple to use.
