LOL yea ggs my only real time with abel was playing in those player matches with u cuz im too lazy to go into training mode. i really havent touched sf that much this week. i hope to get decent with abel. im just not sure what my best options to get in are other than that roll.
That matchup is in Dhalsim favor. As soon as you started spamming that roll, I quickly adapted to B.RH cuz S.F just went through.
i went thru that with the heavy roll but i didnt realize it til the later matches we had
abel’s roll is not entirely safe, you can throw him out of the start of it. i always watch for it and throw the abel players, I believe your best option is to use the EX version of it to escape say a corner trap or w.e. if your knocked down and then they try to cross you up or jump at you, the ex roll is handy for that.
Now on the other hand, if say you knocked the opponent down, then the roll can be used to confuse them in which way to block and you can get a command throw or better yet a c.fp into ultra/super/air grab/reset and so on…
If i recall correctly it has been said that abel is a counter for ryu, im not sure as to why and what the specifics are that lead to this so ill have to do some research on that. anywhos thats all i can pull off the top of my head about abel. im recovering from drinking last night ugh…
