Seems like I’ve been affected by SONY’s PS3 3.01/.15 firmware. BluRay discs are no longer playing on my og 60gb PS3 :sad:
I’m so fucking pissed right now, so it looks like I’m buying that used PS3 Slim we have… I don’t really want to, but it is something to play BluRays until it that problem gets rectified. It still plays, I was playing SFIV yesterday and Einhander (PSX) today. FYI Einhander is a shooter made by SquareSoft for the SONY PlayStation.

Ok Dash upper is not necessarily safe against ryu, it HAS to be done at MAX distance and even then be wary of c.mp and c.mk. otherwise he can reversal dp it.
you are too impatient and your links are weak. Rog will get killed if he can get baited to move. your job is to get in mid range and sit there counter and punish everything they do. do not give away jump ins and do not give away throws.
Even if you are slightly behind in health still sit there do not move. if rog is moving rog is not charging henceforth rog is dead. move only when u need to.
work on your links, i purposely gave u hits and u only landed the headbutt maybe 8% of the time. that shit is just weak. my recommendation is to stop playing people. go to training mode and sit there and DO NOT MASH buttons, do the links calmly and decisively. and when you think you have the links down, practice that shit for another week till that shit is so 2nd nature you’ll do that shit to pat in the parking lot.
Learn the max distance on all of rogs moves, ALL of them, learn which ones leave you at a disadvantage and when it does not. also learn WHY it does and does not.
Learn block strings, learn MULTIPLE block strings, learn the timing of all the links and when u can break them up and initiate resets. learn option selects, if you do not know what those are [media=youtube]Ni4-qtSDm_0[/media] see link for details.
learn how to dash super/ultra, learn ex armor cancels [media=youtube]lUf8Qjut36Y&feature=related[/media]
youtube the shit and practice practice practice. you shouldnt be playing ANYONE until your moves are atleast 80%

I second everything he stated here. I’m tired of seeing people get pressured, and they go ahead and mash buttons like it works. Also I just recently learned when to be patient and when to rush, it’s imperative that you know when to do so.

in what they are saying Sean, I have learned that many rog players online get entirely impatient when you spam fireballs at them. I have seen them do anything ranging from the headbutt to a turnaround-dash-punch… both of which are bad because a med hadoken from fs puts me at the advantage of going into you with either scenario. My weakness with that is usually Jumping punches (Which I am working on). Your thing is that damn headbutt, which leaves you wide open for punishment if you are too far away… check out some youtube Ryu/Gouki(Akuma) vs Balrog, and you will see what I mean…
