Yes you thought about it to much causing you to remember things incorrectly.
Let me tell you my history with Street Fighter IV. At first i wasn’t going to get it, but Ray said that I should so I did and he even picked it up for me. Then Chris took us to the Gamecrazy tourney several days later, and it was hype for me so it really got me into the game. Then my goal was to get better than Chris, and eventually I did. I kept playing online and practicing until eventually the Hastings tourney came around. Me and Ray went to this, and got scraped up. This is where I met Billy and lost to him. I told myself If I ever see this guy again, than I will surely be better than him. After that months went by with me practicing and gaining more popularity and skill, with playing people like Geom Modinside, IFC Zangief, TheKingKindred, and many more people to name, playing those guys made me a lot better, Youtube all of them. Eventually people started sending me messages saying, I’ve been told a lot about you, can you help me get better. Then it came time when we were going to the UFO tournament, and everybody wanted me to play on stick, so that happened and to this day, I have not cought up with my skill that I had previously on pad, losing to many people online that I usually destroy.
I know you have a lot of experience and I can tell simple the way you zone me. That is the thing I like about you and Lawrence, your zoning games and footsies are much greater than mine, and it’s something that I need to pick up from both of you. Yes you’ve played with some of the greatest players, and that is great, but does not make you light years ahead of us.
Why in the HELL are you playing me with less that 100%? I know you’re playing for fun, but if you want more people to level up (Including yourself) then just play at 100% or don’t let people know that you are not.
I only said you sucked with Balrog simply because you said you did. Do you remember when you said, “I suck with Balrog, I don’t know why people think I’m good with him.” Remember that shit? That is what I’m basing it off of. I personally think your Balrog is exponentially better than Ray’s. Now, I did claim to play better Balrog’s, and that to me is the truth, but one thing I didn’t say is that I played them frequently enough to learn the match up like I should. Then I went on to say that I should play them so that I can know the match up better.
What you were saying is exactly what I was thinking, but you have it a little twisted so let me clear it up with you, so you can actually see what** you’re saying**. You said it yourself that your Balrog sucked, so in my head I’m thinking damn… if he thinks his Balrog sucks and I’m consistently losing to him 5 6 7 times straight then what does that say about me and my Ryu, and so I got a little upset about that.
That is definitely a good thing. That’s good that you don’t disrespect anybody. Sharing your knowledge is also good because it helps everybody. If everybody else shared their knowledge like you and Demarcus than we could Lv up quicker. I don’t share my knowledge much because people hardly listen or they just don’t take it into effect. I used to have a lot of patience, but now a’ days I don’t, so I’ll tell them once, and if they don’t get it soon then I won’t repeat myself.
Who said I wasn’t learning from it? Actually, when I was playing you, I tried a lot of things to see if they would work. When did I go to the corner? I sat on the couch with a depressed/ focused/angry/observant face (This not being all at once). Once again, I only said you sucked because that is what you said.
Yes you did a lot of jump-ins, and the reason I got angry is because I sat there for an hour today and practiced my anti air against Balrog’s j.rh. I didn’t say you weren’t good because you jumped, I said you weren’t good because once again…(Can I get a d-r-u-m ROLL please) You said that you yourself sucked with Balrog. Yesterday wasn’t the only time you said that either, you also said it over at Chris’s place several times.
I agree with you. The problem is not with you, but with me. The thing is I never blamed you so:wtf:… I am working to get better so that I take every game from you in Street Fighter IV, and when that does happen I will not boast or brag about it, it will simply be what it is.
Once again my words did not come from my thoughts, but what you…
Agreed, but the thing is my ego is enormous.
Only reason why you see me block a lot of jump-ins is because I know if I go for it, I won’t be able to put in the input fast enough (on pad I can), but I am still working on it.
Yes I was speaking mainly out of frustration and I am terribly sorry. I do have a lot of respect for Gavin for two reasons:
- He is my elder and should be treated with respect.
- He is a good person(So far) and knows how to keep it chill.
Damn just when I thought i was done with my two hour long post, you say some more shit.
I really don’t think I am better than you, but that is what you are ASSUMING.
Right I am here for the same thing, and I enjoy myself doing it to. It was a pride issue on my part last night and it was unacceptable.
And your almost right about everything you just said, but last night was a bad night. I couldn’t even play the game because I was so frustrated. I’m well aware of adapting and overcoming, but I’m still working on that. Yes that is what separates the good from the average.
Say something like what? I was never going to call you a scrub, but when I say stuff like “your alright”, I’m really just playing around like you guys do to me(Go fucking figure). So it ok for you guys to joke around and me not get it, but it’s not ok for the opposite way. (I was serious most of last night and most of it was not a joke).
@Everyone
Sorry for the way I acted last night, it was unacceptable. It was more of a pride issue for me.
@Demarcus
Good shit for beating me multiple times last night, I will work even more on that match up.
@Ray
I’ve been an asshole to you lately (Somewhat), and I’m sorry about that. Good games last night.
@Billy & Chris
Thanks for the ride, I really appreciate it.
