Verizon screwed me over and sent the wrong phone, they sent me the HTC Diamond instead of the Touch Pro 2 i sent it back an had to get that mishap straightened out so they let me get the HTC Touch Pro for $99 an credited my account for the Saturday delivery i paid for. I should have it by Tuesday.
but until then i threw my Touch Pro on eBay

How is the palm Pre? For the first time I feel like I need a particular cell phone. I fucking hate apple and refuse to consider their shit, so when I saw the pre for the first time I was impressed. Any thoughts?
i’ve handled one its ok but for me personally i feel like the keyboard is too small but otherwise its a cool phone but id rather stick with windows mobile
I had the Palm Pre for a month. After a few days I put it down and went back to my HTC Touch Pro.
Even though they say you can have multiple applications open and it has faster processor, it still lagged at times when going from one application to another. Sometimes the touch wasn’t accurate or it wouldn’t do anything sometimes when you pressed down on the screen, even though it showed you where you were pressing down on. They keys were kind of small for my liking.
ive heard nothing but bad things about the Palm Pre
I agree with iwst99, the pre i played around with at the Sprint store the day after launch did have noticeable lag when switching between apps. Not sure if any updates on the phone have been released to resolve to decrease the noticeable lag.
It looks like a cool phone to play around with and it should improve with time as the 1st gen phone gets torn apart by Palm and the Pre Community.
I’m mad tired of my piece of shit HTC s720 and I’m thinking of replacing it with a BB curve. Should I shell out the 70$ more and get the Storm instead?

The Palm Pixi is another WebOS phone set to hit Sprint soon. Its a standard candybar phone and the processor/gpu is a little slower then the Pre’s but most reports are stating that the keyboard is better then the Pre’s. It also looks a lot better then the Pre in my opinion.

Anyone have any info on this? I’m getting a new phone and right now it’s between the G1, the touch pro 2, and the mytouch. Pros/cons for either/all?
Mytouch and G1 are pretty much the same thing, Heard that cons from the Mytouch is the e-mail/virtual keyboard but the Mytouch is newer. Haven’t tried the Touch Pro 2 yet. Assuming by the phone you listed you are on T-Mobile. All three of them are good if you want touch screen phone. If you don’t care about touch screen go with the BB. I am a BB user myself. =)
I’ve had my BB Curve since Saturday and I am in love with it. Such a great phone.
After dealing with an iPhone and HTC Touch I have come to learn I fucking hate touch screen phones.

When I switched to the BB i was like FUCK TOUCHSCREEN. It’s cool and all, but I just wanted a phone that work well with all the things I wanted.
BTW go to crackberry for a plethora of OS updates/themes/apps. :tup:
I hate blackberry. I’m a tmobile customer, but I’m willing to unlock a phone and flash it like I did with my tilt if there are better reccommendations.
Touchscreen is cool, but I dislike having to touch everything. That’s one thing I preferred about my Centro vs. my Touch Pro.
well guys i just stepped into winmo heaven with the tp2 im simply amazed. Its faster, louder, better ui, better screen than the tp2 shits godly…its everything the first tp should have been. GPS locks on much faster this time around i jus got it today and im still toying around with it but im absolutely loving it so far and i only paid 99 bucks and i get 100 dollar rebate if they process it looks like ill be getting this for free
I just downloaded Opera Mini 5 Beta. I’m liking it even though I’m a firefox user for desktop. =) Just glad I finally get a phone browser with TABS!
I have the mytouch 3g and I love it. It can pretty much do everything and more. I got it over the G1 because it is slightly faster and more memory and ram.
Can someone recommend me a cheap phone with a full keyboard from AT&T?
