I’ve come to an agreement with the owner of our local arcade and it seems that I can host a tourney with no strings attatched. He’s even fixing the 2p stick on MVC2 and has said that if the extra customers I bring are enough to consider maintaining the cabs better, he’ll be fixing up the 3S board and replacing the MSHvSF board with it. If he can find CVS2 again, he might do that instead, but we have yet to see. Hopefully, we can get a scene going here, and it’d be great if anybody could offer some help of some sort, whether it’s advice or even coming up here for a tourney if this one has any success. As for the tourney, if anybody is remotely intetrested…

EDIT: Actually since I wish not to participate in MVC2 (my worst game) I would actually like to run this tourney since I have some experience and am not doing anything anyways lol. btw, why do you say eww? if there’s something wrong with the layout, by all means, give me some help here I made the buy-in low, yet rewarding if there are many players. This is taking into consideration that there are no players out here yet besides Paul and I.
The eww is because it’s in Burlington, I’m pretty sure. :lol: That’s 42 minutes north of me, and I’m like 30 minutes north of the Seattle area. A bummer for a lot of people. haha.

I’m trying to do this because Paul and I live up here, between the bellingham and seattle areas (1 hr- 1.5 hrs or 45-50 mins either way). Not like it’s fun for us to drive down there, especially coming back from Preppy’s at 4 in the morning trying to stay awake on the hour+ long drive home. Getting a scene started up here would be worth the effort in the long run, IMO, though I do understand your situation all too well.
Although you’re going to get whipped by me if you don’t practice your guard deflects and 8-way run dodge/punish combos. It takes more skill than one would think:rolleyes: Should be a fun game to scrub it up on, though!
Hahah, well one was a mapquest estimated time, and one I tried to factor in driving on a friday evening or whatever. I guess it depends how you drive. :wgrin:
I hope the owner actually fixes the sticks… He is SOO fucking retarded I asked him to do it b4 and he agreed but then took 2 months to replace one button! So I got mad and offered to pay for all the parts and install them myself and he’s like no I will do it and he still doesn’t do it! There’s just not enough interest up here to keep these things going well so help us out guys and bring CVS2 and 3S back to the NW in full force!
