Casey Anthony found not guilty

the nanny she named is suing her for defamation of character…so this is far from over.

I’m pretty sure, if lying to cops 4 times and getting 4 years of prison is equal to about 6 actual days in prison, that she has nothing to fear. Don’t know how the system works, they might try to pin the murder to her through the case, but… I’m pretty sure she’s home free now. Then with the book deals, as long as she’s smart with her money (god help her) then she’ll pretty much be set for life when you add the porn deals to it as well. But all that money will never give her compensation for her lost child.

I think she’s guilty, btw, but I think she’s innocent in the court of law.

if she made a vid, I’d watch it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hope she gets shanked in prison. Last I heard they don’t like people who kill kids in prison.

She’s been in solitary, so she’s removed from the general population. No miracle shanks for her unfortunately.

She might party though…

I love hood club promoters.

everyone is opening talkin bout killin this girl on facebook. yeesh. you’d think she was the first white girl to get off of murder.

it’s not murder that people are mad at. it’s that it caused the death of a child.

wake up, we’re living in salem witch trial times

lol i live in new england…im always living in salem witch trial times.

Double jeopardy means you can’t be tried for the same crime twice if you’ve been acquitted or convicted legitimately. You’re both right.

with women still getting pussy passes galore(this goes far beyond Anthony, whom the prosecution failed to prove dead to rights she was the crook regardless of how it may seem, but women in general have been getting pussy passes for the longest and will for the foreseeable future, Crystal Mangum ring a bell?

What?

Um, it’s pretty established that women get pretty light(or none at all) sentencing in certain cases, just look back to most of the female teachers who molested boys like Debra Lafave

Mangum:

“Double Jeopardy” is a stupid movie. The time at which the crime occurs is never taken into account; by the movie’s logic, one could rob a bank, be convicted and rob the same bank two months later and run around screaming “Double Jeopardy, Double Jeopardy!” and not be arrested.

she didn’t get a pussy pass, she got a pass. the citizens sure as fuck haven’t passed her. you guys know police had to cordon off the area around her home cause people were talking about fucking her up? you think a pussy pass got her out of that? no, here’s a better question. name one person who expressed he was gonna fuck OJ Simpson up

Didn’t OJ threaten to hurt himself?
Does that count?

I agree with the first part of this post…let that had been me, I would have been under the jail.

see you could understand kinda where OJ was coming from. it didn’t really spark a feeling of outrage, at least not from me personally, because the woman was cheating on him and being scandalous

killing your own child isn’t even remotely the same

^^this is what all the outrage is over.
I think the prosecution got sloppy due to how horrific the crime was and he actions during the 31 unaccounted for days her daughter wasn’t reported missing.
The serious of bizarre accusations that followed also allowed them to think they had it in the bag.
I just wonder what happened over the last few years to make the parents go from demanding answers from Casey, to trying to take the fall for her.
The entire family seems to have gotten away with a crime…and Casey appears to be the criminal mastermind of the decade. She tossed so much false information out there, no one knew the truth. Heck, no one really knows who that child’s father was. In the most extreme of circumstances Casey’s father really could have molested her for years and Kaylee came out of that…and the family could not take the constant reminder.
(Not saying I believe that is the case, but I am sure that will be the topic of conversation at some point).

^ Actually if IIRC they DNA tested the brother and the father in light of accusations, and neither was the father.

"We were crying, and not just the women. It was emotional and we weren’t ready,” the 32-year-old said of the six other women and five men on the panel. “We wanted to do it with integrity and not contribute to the sensationalism of the trial.

“I did not say she was innocent,” said Ford. “I just said there was not enough evidence. If you cannot prove what the crime was, you cannot determine what the punishment should be.”

I applaud the jury for their decision, it must have been hell for them to do the right thing.
