That’s why I lol’d the post about the Bayo anime. Gonzo is fail at anything that isn’t a manga adaptation. If Platinum isn’t in-house from day one this is going to be a car wreck.
Even thats not true cuz a number of their manga adaptations fall apart int he end to. I’d say the only Anime of Gonzo’s I enjoyed the whole way through was Chrono Crusade, and that shit changed a shiiiiiiit ton from the Manga at the half way mark so…

Wish Sega held off on the anime. Now that they have Index that also means they have Mad House. Hoping this is cool, if not I still got the games.
I hope it’s not like the DMC anime where the animation was great and everyone was fooled. When you finally watch it fighting is almost non existent and the story blows. Glad I didn’t pay for it but I’m hoping Bayonetta doesn’t have these issues…well if the action is good I can forgive the story np. JUST GIVE ME SOMETHING TO GET HYPE ABOUT.
^I kind of liked the story. I just thought it was too short of a series so everything felt a little rushed. And I didn’t mind the lack of action because we got so much of it in the games. I liked how they slowed things down. I wish the next DMC would take an episodic approach to the game because the games like to talk about how he’s a business but all we ever get are these grand adventures and no payout. I want to see Dante get a bag of cash and wreck some demons at a house party.

its not an anime series. ITS A MOVIE that comes out in november and the director is the guy behind basilisk and afro samurai.
Not a fan of basilisk at all but afro samurai? Yeah I have some optimism now.

directed basilisk, afro samurai, afro samurai resurrection, and the marvel anime tv series (which was atrocious and only the xmen one was decent but wasnt that interesting after a couple episodes, just well animated above the others)
i enjoyed basilisk, but its a solid one time watch that stuck well to the manga for the most part. afro samurai, and resurrection were just great, so all he needs to do is give me a bayonetta version of that, and i will pee all over the walls in excitement. imma just say he got a nice check for directing marvel anime, but that shit isnt a good look on his resume, although the xmen marvel anime was aight, and it gave us that unforgettable dark phoenix intro of the first episode.
im surprised such a late announcement for a movie that comes out in 2 months. i assume its select theaters and they will be dropping a dvd release like a month or 2 later. i suspect it can do well, but i would have to see another trailer, which is again weird because it comes out in 2 months. lol. they might as well just had went straight to dvd.
hopefully we get some rodin action and hes not just making drinks and weapons for bayonetta. please dont disappoint kizaki, this could be a classic movie, i hope you did it justice.
I’ve always thought about a DMC with each mission actually being different jobs and little stories all by themselves. It’d be a nice change of pace.
Yea I liked the DMC Anime…It did need to have more action tho. Dante didn’t fuck up enough shit in that show.
